Most of us know about the emotional symptoms of depression, including feelings of sadness, anxiety and hopelessness. But you may not know that depression can be associated with many physical symptoms, too. Many times those suffering from physical pain do not seek help they need.
Physical pain can effect your emotional health. As some of you know, if you've ever had a migraine headache or a toothache, all you wanted to do was make the pain stop -- the last thing you wanted to do was be social or in a public setting. In fact, many people with depression suffer from chronic pain or other physical symptoms.
Let's check out the 9 Physical Symptoms of Depression.

We already know that Dr. Doolittle was able to converse with animals, and I’m thinking that Susan Davis possesses the same gift. Susan is a NJ Licensed Physical Therapist, and these days her patients are typically 4-legged. The benefits of physical therapy for animals have been widely accepted in the veterinary community for many years, but is a relatively new field in the US. The goal of physical therapy for animals is to improve quality of life and decrease pain -- same as for humans. Although most veterinary practices offering physical therapy are geared toward canines, techniques used in this discipline can also be applied to horses, cats, birds, rabbits, rodents and other small animals. Susan has worked on many types of dogs from an Australian Cattle Dog to a Yorkshire Terrier. Recently she had an opportunity to do some rehab on a large pig (yes, a large pig) and we’ll learn what other animals Susan has helped out with some PT and her magic touch. In 2013, Susan authored and self-published the book Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for Animals: A Guide for the Consumer, and she also writes guest articles for pet-related blogs on a monthly basis. Some conditions in animals that benefit from PT include arthritis, hip dysplasia, and spinal deformity. Susan will share how she changed focus as a PT and began her healing work with animals. She is a member of the International Association for Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy. After the interview, please check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.
Robert Porter is the physical rehabilitation treatment supervisor at MedVet Mandeville and has been on staff since 2006.
Robby has worked in canine rehabilitation since 1998 and is looked at by his peers as one of the pioneers in his field. He has a strong knowledge base in kinesiology and a great interest in positive training approaches to therapeutic exercises. His MedVet patients from the gulf coast region not only benefit from his exercises but also love to perform them for him.
Robby has studied gait analysis using slow motion cameras which has helped develop many exercises used all over the world today. His many self-produced “How To” canine exercise videos help spread this knowledge and have helped others develop their skills as therapists.
Robby Porter is also one of MedVet’s Media Managers, writing as well as creating visual content for our social media.
Just like humans, pets may need rehabilitation after an accident or medical procedure, or to help manage a chronic condition.
MedVet Rehabilitation practitioners provide effective and personalized physical rehabilitation using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to maximize the opportunity for full recovery. MedVet Rehabilitation Practitioners have completed advanced training in veterinary physical rehabilitation.
Many pets respond well to rehabilitation, including those with orthopedic, neurologic and medical conditions. We also use rehabilitation to help pets live a more complete and active life by providing geriatric support, obesity management and athletic conditioning.

Elon discovered FBA after suffering a bankruptcy and divorce, which caused her to look for some way to put her life back together. After earning nearly $300K her first year, she now teaches others how to harness this lucrative program.
