What Does Being a Director of A Network Mean for You=Lets Ask Joan E Wakeland

    in Women

Did you know that Nafe is the largest global network for women?  It also recently celebrated its 42nd year of serving women across the globe.  Their headquarters are in New York, but they have networks across the country run by dynamic women like Joan who step to the plate to touch lives.

Lets learn a little bit about this dynamic woman.

Joan Wakeland-Taylor was born in 1941 in Jamaica West Indies.  She graduated in 1964 as a Pharmacist from the University of Technology in Jamaica West Indies and owned and operated 3 Pharmacies in Jamaica.

Things were scary in 1977 and she feared for her son’s life as well as her own so she migrated to New Jersey with only $50.00 for her and $50.00 for her son as that is all that was allowed to take out of the country.  They stayed in New Jersey for 6 weeks and then came to California

She could not get a job as a Pharmacist in the US so she became a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and worked for several companies,

She raised her two sons on her own by working hard while at the same time being a role model as a mother.  She put them through college and they are both successful today. One of her greatest thrills is that she recently became a grandmother.

Joan was a member of my Menifee Nafe and loved its concept, and stepped into the role of starting two California networks, one in Rancho Cucamonga and the other recently in Riverside..

Joan is a woman of commitment; she is totally passionate about the work that she is doing.  A woman of connection, she is able to accomplish results through relationships and influence. A woman who makes consistent contributions to her community and her business, she has a track record of success and possesses deep levels of competence, knowledge and creditability.

She is sharing these skills with the women of her network she can be reached at joanewakeland@gmail.com

Joe Messina--A Drug Dealer Is Just An Unlicensed Pharmacist 05.Aug.14

    in Finance

Following the logic, if a drug dealer is just an unlicensed pharmacist, than an illegal alien is simply an undocumented worker. No one is responsible for anything that they do anymore and the buck stops nowhere. And why should it, since the government never takes any responsibility for anything either. Whether it's Obamacare blowing up, or a flood of illegal aliens crossing the border, it's nobody's fault.
