Dr. Epstein is medical director of TotalBond Veterinary Hospitals located in the Carolinas. As founder of Carolinas Animal Pain Management Clinic, Dr. Epstein is passionate about the recognition, prevention, and treatment of pain in cats and dogs.
He has been credentialed by the American Academy of Pain Management, and as a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP) by the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, has authored textbook chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles, and is a nationally- and internationally sought-after speaker/lecturer on implementing pain management systems in private practices. Dr. Epstein is co-chairperson of the 2015 AAHA/AAFP Pain Management Guidelines
for Dogs and Cats.
