Jesus shared with the scribes and many more about the personal hygiene problem they believed his disciples had when it came to eating before washing their hands. Many are concerned about the outter appearence and had washing but never consider washing the inside. The inside washing is much more important than washig the outside.
As he continues his emergence as a dynamic new independent artist in the contemporary jazz world, keyboardist and composer Al DeGregoris still remembers the encouraging words he parents would offer frequently as he was growing up in Long Island: “Be patient. Work hard. Everything will come, All In Good Time.” That last phrase is the perfect title of DeGregoris’ new album, the latest step in the fulfillment of his musical dreams, which finds him vibing with some of contemporary jazz’s top hit making artists.
Greg's latest CD, "Can't Help Myself, was released August 1, 2014. Entirely produced by Nate Harasim & Matt Godina, this record features 2x Grammy winner Paul Brown, Julian Vaughn, Nils, and others. Onstage, Greg has played the J.A. Nugget Jazz Night, has performed as an opening act for Evelyn "Champagne" King and Howard Hewett, has backed up Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter, and performs regularly throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Greg's last record, "After Hours", featured Paul Brown on guitar, smooth jazz pianist Jonathan Fritzen, session musicians Ross Bolton, Louis Fasman, and Roberto Vally, and the mixing expertise of saxophonist/producer Darren Rahn. Lets get back to personal. We spend way too much time behind or infront of a screen for our social life. Let break down and give up close and personal a shot. Jesus told us in John 14 that we should love one another, and to pray for our enemies. We as a society have drifted from out personal touch in our day to day relationships. Lets get away from that. We should from time to time come face to face with the ones we love and care for.
