Once a month Latrina Wilcher goes out into the community to hand out slices of cake and pie in heart-shaped boxes.
Latrina's goal is to help the homeless people in Los Angeles "One Pastry at a time" these treats are not the healthiest in the world,but it costs money to get a cupcake or a cookie," said Wilcher, a south L.A. native. Latrina calls her project Sweet Tri Pastries. This concept began with Latrina's insatiable desire to help others. She Volunteers sharing her story and doing marketing for I am a GIRL, a documentary on the obstacles and perserverance of women fighting and equality in the 21st century. Latrina is writing a children's book to help other kids in the the foster care system cope wih their experiences. Tune in and support Latrina!

This was the show that created my most interesting and awesome chapter of my life!

About Jenni Field:
First and foremost, I am a teacher. I left the formal education field
after 16 years teaching Special Education to attend culinary school
at Orlando Culinary Academy, a Le Cordon Bleu program, and
eventually become a pastry chef. I worked my way up from pastry
cook to pastry sous chef and pastry chef and had the privilege of helping
to open an upscale gastropub and set the dessert menu as well as
our signature bread service and bar snacks.
While I enjoyed working in the restaurant business, the teacher in me
missed teaching, so I left food service to pursue a career in blogging,
food writing and recipe development. My background in education
allows me to teach fundamentals and bedrock technique while
maintaining an engaging tone.
