    Host David J. Diamond welcomes colleagues, Roberta Levitow (Co-founder and Director of Theatre Without Borders) and Frank Hentschker (Executive Director of The Segal Center) to discuss issues of Artists Working Internationally. At the imminent launch of the Cultural Mobility Funding Guide for the U.S., we will discuss resources, challenges and strategies for artists who wish to travel to other countries to work in the theatre, do residencies, study and present work.


    The colleagues, along with Marie Le Sourd of On the Move and others, have created the first Funding Guide of this kind in the United States. On January 7th, they present a full-day Symposium at the Segal Center in New York City to launch the Guide and grapple with the challenges faced by artists working internationally. With over 250 artists, administrators, funders and supporters from around the world, they will discuss issues ranging from visa and legal issues to arts-human rights work.


    Listen in to learn valuable information from these extraordinary practitioners. Call in with your questions, share information and be part of the conversation about this important topic.

    Career Coaching for Artists' David J. Diamond welcomes The Dramatist Guild's Gary Garrison as his special guest on December 10th, 2014. Gary is the playwright's best friend. Hear how he has crafted his own career and how he works with playwrights so they can maximize their opportunities to get their voices heard.     Gary Garrison is a playwright and author, as well as the Executive Director for Creative Affairs of the Dramatists Guild of America. The former Artistic Director and Division Head of Playwriting for the Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing at the Tisch School of the Arts, he continues working with graduate playwrights each semester as an active faculty member. As a guest artist and lecturer, he has traveled throughout the country speaking to hundreds of playwrights in college and university programs, small and large theatres and playwrights organizations. Each summer he heads a national playwriting intensive hosted at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. In 2005, Gary was named Outstanding Teacher of Playwriting by the Association for Theatre in Higher Education.

    David J. Diamond welcomes world-renowned director Dijana Miloševic, Artistic Director of DAH Teatar in Serbia as his guest on October 22nd at 4 pm.


    Dijana Miloševic is Director, Co-Founder- DAH Teatar Research Center. Ms. Miloševic Co-founded DAH Teatar in 1991, (that expanded into DAH Theater Research Center in 1993) and since the beginning, directs its  performances. With this position, comes the responsibility of Artistic Director for many festivals and projects that the company engages. She continues to tour the world with DAH Theater’s performances while offering workshops and lectures during various residencies. She collaborates with THEATRE WITHOUT BORDERS and ACTING TOGETHER ON THE WORLD STAGE networks. She continues to direct theatre performances, write about theatre and society, lead workshops and give lectures world- wide.


    David J. Diamond introduces you to some of the most exciting artists working in the theatre, film and performing arts world today. Hear them discuss their careers, their lives as artists and what they think about the business. Ask them directly for advice about your own career or discuss current issues about the business.


    David J. Diamond is a director, teacher and career coach for artists. He has helped hundreds of people involved in the performing and visual arts to navigate their careers more effectively. He regularly teaches at Yale School of Drama and Columbia University, among others. He is a Founder of The Barrow Group Theatre Company and Coordinates the La MaMa Umbria International Summer Programs. He is on the Steering Committee of Theatre Without Borders and has been honored for his community service in New York.

    David J. Diamond interviews actor/director Austin Pendleton about his long and varied career. Currently appearing in Young Jean Lee's STRAIGHT WHITE MEN at the Public Theater in New York City, Austin never seems to be out of work. From his early Broadway appearance in the original production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, he has created some iconic characters on stage, film and television. He has also directed critically-acclaimed plays (including Elizabeth Taylor in The Little Foxes for which he got a Tony Nomination for Best Director) and written such hit plays as ORSON'S SHADOW and BOOTH. He has appeared in over 100 films and television programs. He teaches both acting and directing at HB Studios and The New School.


    How does one sustain a career like Austin's? Find out how he has done it, what he loves about theatre, what's up next for him and hear his best advice for actors and directors today.

    Stepping into My Power is delighted to interview the Founder of LLC - Ms. leslie Class-Hernandez. As a Hispanic, growing up in the Bronx, poor, her father overcame many challenges. He was an extremely positive and forward thinking person. As a young adult he became a proud Veteran, and later a successful entrepreneur before his untimely passing at age 39.


    The unexpected death of her father initiated a series of life altering events for her. Lliving in transition - it was only a short while before she was landed in foster care and then became pregnant. She gave birth to her first child at age16 and second with special needs, when she was only 19 years old in an abusive relationship.


    To provide for her children, she worked many jobs, completed her GED, and sought training employment opportunities.  In 1994, at the age of 20, she became a Medical Assistant.  The personal fulfillment that she has gained from sharing with her students, prompted her to establish Learning Curve Careers (LCC) in 2007.
