LIVE with Attorney Mark Overall - The Attack On Black Lawyers In Alabama
Welcome to A Theory of Parenting on Blogtalkradio.com
My name is Tammi Joyner
I am your Host for the Show
Today we are doing a recap on our visit to Central Park in NYC
For More Info go to www.centralparknyc.org
but before we tell more about our exploration I would like to mention the location for todays show
we are live from the 805 Third Avenue (49th and 50th Street) - The Crystal Pavilion
www.untappedcities.com says: This tri-leveled lunch hotspot is best accessed at the street level via a wide, right-angled circulation corridor, which also connects the Third Avenue and East 50th Street entrances. The concourse level, reached by escalator near the Third Avenue entrance has the most amount of tables and services, and is the spot where during mid-day, when the sun comes bursting through the windows, one can look up and literally be dazzled by the space’s volume and design.
A report and comments on events and a rally supporting Prineville PD and safe parks in Prineville, Oregon. Join us as we explore what can be done to keep our parks safe for the families and children they are intended for.
Survey's of the parks in recent days indicate that many people use our parks and that there are many different experiences and interactions at these parks. A great community effort is in the process of assuring the best possible experience for all park users.
It was also very clear that our County Park and Recreation Department work had to provide clean facilities and beautiful areas for our use.
Hello and welcome to my blogtalkradio show this evening at 5:30 PM. This show is a live talk radio show and I am so excited to annnounce my next special Guest is the extremely talented Britich Singer-Songwriter and performing musician, the much LOVED, JAMES MADDOCK. James made teh move from his hometown Leicester, England and has been based in New York City since his arrival in 2003.
Maddock's first PUBLIC SUCCESS in the United States was with his band WOOD, whose album (Songs from Stamford Hill) Columbia Records produced multiple songs appearing on the most popular hit TV Show "DAWSON'S CREEEK", including the top # 5 single "STAY YOU". James though being British, is largely associated with the Americana Music Style. James appeared on CBS "THIS MORNING" and on "THE DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW". James has also graced us here in Asbury Park, NJ with his unique talent at numerous "LIGHT OF DAY CONCERTS", "The STONE PONY" and The WONDER BAR" as well.
James performed with Bruce Springsten and Willie Nile, sang on an Album with Susan Mc Keown and was featured on National Public Radio and "MOUNTAIN STAGE." In addition he was given one of the greatest compliments that a Musician could ever receive by "IDOTS DELIGHT" founder and free form radio legend VIN SCELSAI who called Maddock's work "heartbreakingly beautiful and exquisitely crafted...touches the soul."

Hello folks, Nancy here and happy to announce my next episode will continue on the topic of my Broadcasting experiences with www.hamiltonradio.net spanning over two wonderful years. I began right here with blogtalkradio and then was asked to join Hamilto Radio. I learned so much working with this radio station which by the way was nominated "Best Internet Radio Station in Support of Live Music" at the most recent Music Awards in Asbury Park, NJ. I am excited to tell everyone that I will be hosting my (one hour live talk radio shows) with special Guest interviews via Hamilton Radio starting this month. So actually, I took two whole weeks off thinking I would take a few months to write my book. hehehe What can I say bottom line is love doing my MUSIC and you can find me at http://www.reverbnation.com/nancyryan, however, I totally LOVE broadcasting! "It is my thing and really floats my boat"! Speaking of Boats, my Dad build "RYAN SEA SKIFFS" for 13 years before becoming Superintendent of a large construction company based in my hometown of Asbury Park, NJ. Hence my cliche regarding what floats my boat....Hope you enjoy my blogtalkradio show as well as my "RYAN ROCKS IT ASBURY PARK STYLE" special Guest interview shows with HAMILTON RADIO. So stay tuned for FUN, FUN, FUN with me doing solo shows as well as me doing shows with my very special guests. Peace, Nancy <3
You have until Friday, May 8, to enter to win the books featured on this episode of the Literary New England Radio Show, where we feature:
Aline Ohanesian on Orhan's Inheritance, a novel that shifts between the last years of the Ottoman Empire and 1990s Los Angeles. It tells the story a young Turkish man who leaves his family's small village, to travel to the US, to discover why his recently deceased grandfather bequeathed the family home to a woman his family has never heard of--a woman who lives in a facility for elderly Aremians. It's a novel that brings a neglected time in Turkish history to life, spanning decades, honoring the resilience of the human spirit and illustrating the depth of love.
Patricia Park on Re: Jane, a Korean-American retelling of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, set in Manhattan and Seoul. Its protagonist, Jane, is a an orphan trying to escape from Flushing, NY, where she works in her strict uncle’s grocery store before becoming the au pair, beginning an affair with the father of the children she cares for and then fleeing to Seoul. There, she reconnects with family and works to accept who she really is.
Kirstin Valdez Quade on her short story collection Night at the Fiestas. Set in northern New Mexico, the 10 stories plunge into the fierce, troubled hearts of characters defined by the desire to escape the past or else plumb into its depths: A deadbeat father of a pregnant teen who tries to transform his life by playing the role of Jesus; a young man who discovers that his estranged father and a boa constrictor have been squatting in his grandmother’s empty house; a lonely retiree who becomes obsessed with her housekeeper; and others.
Hosted by Cindy Wolfe Boynton. Visit the Literary New England blog for added book giveaways, author talk, articles and more!
