This Week's Message: A Negative Mindset is one where an individual continually thinks about what they don’t have and focusing all their energy on lack, sickness, sadness and everything bad. When you do this you will bring more negativity or more lack into your life. A negative mindset makes you feel like you will never accomplish anything and you doubt that you will be successful. This mindset causes you to give-up on your dreams before you really get started on achieving them. Often times you may not even know you are being negative when you are in fact negative. Do you ever decide to take action on a goal then immediately begin to think about all the ways you couldn’t possibly succeed? You may have… a negative mindset.

It happened and it hurt you so bad. You've been wounded and it's impacting everything about your life, from your relationships to your health. You wish you could get over it, but you just don't know how.
When a bullet makes a wound in the body, the way it exits creates a bigger void than it did when it entered. On its way through it alters everything in its path, sometimes irreparably. That's what happens as well when it comes to wounds of the soul, and it produces pain.
Pain not only needs to be felt, it must be processed, layer by layer, issue by issue. But where do you find the support and guidance you need to do this? When you do decide to confront your pain, will you be ready to face what comes next?
Tune in as we chat with Christopher F. Hartwell, Pastor of Crossroads Community Church and author of the upcoming release, Exit Wounds: Overcoming Unprocessed Pain. Join us for some real talk about the issues of life and how you can face and overcome them.
Call 646-716-6910 or chat with us LIVE during the broadcast in our Javammunity chat room.

On this week's "CleftCast" #podcast, host Joe Rutland talks about overcoming the fear of speaking up for yourself. It's quite difficult for children and adults with cleft lip/cleft palate/craniofacial anomalies to "crack open" and speak up. Many people are afraid of how they will sound, or have been told by others not to speak up. On the other hand, others have been encouraged and strengthened to share and speak up in safe environments. I will talk about this in more detail. Also, I'm going to be offering a glimpse into a major announcement coming out soon that will be a great offer to the craniofacial community. I also will have this week's Term of the Week, too. All that and a whole lot more are in store for "CleftCast," the world's No. 1 #podcast for the cleft and craniofacial community.
