My friend Steve Balzac, author of "Organizational Psychology for Managers" (download book excerpt on Motivation here), answers these questions:
1. Many tech companies handle leadership by promoting an engineer to team management/leadership. Is it true that engineers only respect other engineers as team leaders? What does that do to team performance?
2. You mention the use of games in chapter 8. How can games be used to develop leadership skills and inspire innovation?
3. How can I apply the principles in your book to promote effective organizational change? How can gamification help me there as well?
Our guest today is Mike Margollies, a sport psychology consultant who has helped many to World Championships and even the Super Bowl. He helps people in sports and business not choke. He'll tell us about the mental game and how it makes the difference.

Welcome to the fascinating world of color psychology and an inspirational journey of self discovery through an understanding of color meanings.
Knowledge of how color affects your conscious and subconscious mind can change your life. It can inspire you to discover more about yourself and to embrace who you really are.
The meaning of colors can vary depending on culture and circumstances. Each color has many aspects to it but you can easily learn the language of color by understanding a few simple concepts which I will teach you here.
Color is a form of non verbal communication. It is not a static energy and its meaning can change from one day to the next with any individual.
It is this instinctual choice of a color that tells you a lot about yourself, how you function and how others see you. It is the means to understanding your behavior and your character traits as well as your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states. It reflects the way you operate in the world, your strengths and weaknesses, your vulnerabilities, your deepest needs and your challenges at that time in your life.
Business color is one of the most important considerations when establishing your business and its profile. Just as you can use color psychology to empower yourself, you can use it to empower your business.
Today's youth are caught up in something that began to express itself in the 1960s. In response, Revolution in Mind chronicles the very personal and self-revelatory story of Roger Neill's history from 1960 to 2012, providing inspiration and encouragement to all those who may be concerned by the current generation's social radicalization. From conservatism to liberalism, to Marxism, popular psychology, and eastern religion-he is redeemed to true faith. This revolutionary voyage is symbolic of what is brewing both inside and outside the church of Jesus Christ. In the modern age, the winds of doctrine blow, demanding to be discerned amidst the rise of deceptive movements engulfing the post-Christian West. About the Author: Roger Neill has a bachelor's and master's degree from Simon Fraser University, is a registered social worker in British Columbia, and has worked in community psychiatry for the Greater Vancouver Mental Health Service and Fraser Health Authority for twenty-six years. He spent seven years with the Mennonite Central Committee, working with the homeless and imprisoned mentally ill of Jamaica, and recently he has served the Israel Defense Force in a volunteer capacity. Roger has published articles in academic journals, magazines, newspapers, and currently is a blogger on international affairs. He is retired and lives in Mission, B.C.

Natural psychology is a brand new psychology of meaning.
Building on existential philosophy and psychology, it presents an up-to-date picture of life purpose centered on the idea of value-based meaning-making.
By accurately describing meaning as a psychological experience, by announcing that meaning must be made and not sought, and by providing a robust new vocabulary of meaning, natural psychology advances our understanding of the roots of emotional distress and provides a framework for authentic living.
Never run short of meaning or life purpose again!

TODAY WE LOOK AT YOUR LIFE PATH COLOR................
This is the path you have chosen to give you the most chance of learning the lessons you need to in this lifetime. You work it out by adding all the numbers of your date of birth together until they are reduced to a single digit.
For example: my birthday is 5/3/1954. So I add 5+3+1+9+5+4 = 27
and then add 2+7= 9.
I have put together the numbers 1 to 9 with the nine chakra colours I use for healing and the crystals and power animals that all vibrate at the same frequency. When you work out your life path number this will help you to find the energies that will assist you most in following your life journey.
Each of us has a personal energy vibration that is more comfortable with energies that are similar to our own. You may find that your life path colour is one you have always loved and the crystals with the same vibration are always ones you are drawn to. This does not mean that you will exclusively need only these crystals, only that they will be more likely to help when life seems like an uphill struggle. I keep a bag of my life path crystals separately from my others so when I feel I am not coping or straying from my path I get them out so they can gently put me back in balance and remind me where I need to be.
Take Charge of Your Productivity is illustrated with the windmill. There are three blades, Championship Psychology, Winning Strategies and Sustainable Results. Championship Psychology is the foundation and must come first. Success begins with our mindset. Has anyone really defined in simple steps what makes up a championship mindset so it is easier to reach? Has anyone ever defined and enabled us to set a baseline to measure that? Has anyone ever created step by step process to manage emotional triggers that get us off the path? Well, we have! Join Dr. Tom and I as we share this definition and some results and insights from our Championship Psychology Boot camp. We will center the discussion around 1 of the 8 presuppositions /principles of championship psychology that act as the foundation.
