Slicks and Sticks is merging the Ice Hockey and Auto Racing worlds together two and sometimes three days a week! Slicks and Sticks is the official shows of Sportsrants NHL and Sportsrants Racing. The week can't get much better than going "Behind the Glass" , "Rubbin with NASCAR" and "Slingin Mud" with our sprint car drivers and guests! The team is taking you behind the scenes of NASCAR, touring the garage, strapping in with the drivers, spending time on the NHL, AHL, NCAA and ACHA ice with the players, coaches and staff!! Don't miss a second of the action and get involved in the action on facebook and twitter as well!
Tonight's show is the first Open Wheel Madness night and we are extremely excited about this new path and racing adventure we are embarking on! We are sitting down with Ryan Arciero of Forumla Lites to introduce the new racing series to the Slicks and Sticks fans as well as other race fans! The Formula Lites series was created to provide an economical, technologically advanced race vehicle with an emphasis on safety, to give drivers the opportunity to develop their skills to progress into higher levels of open-wheel racing. The series, sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing is scheduled to launch at the end of 2014 at select events with a full schedule in 2015. The Formula Lites program aims at developing drivers interested in entering professional motorsports, including those who seek to make the leap from karting to open-wheel racing.
We are happy to welcome back Group-A Racing and Jonathan Scarallo! Jonathan and Group-A Racing will be one of the teams competing in the series and they are introducing their one driver, Jackie Dick as well! Jackie's story is amazing and can't wait to share it with you!

100 Episodes..... Seriously???
We cannot believe that this project has gone this far. What started out as just a way for Matt and Jay to share some BS over beers has become something we care deeply about. The show itself has been a joy to put on, and what we've been able to bring to you the listeners has been founded on chance and opportunity which we are quite grateful for. Tonight we celebrate our 100th Episode in true Wheel Men Show fashion with several cocktails, a lot of laughs, together with all of the poeple who work daily to put the show together weekly. It's a rare opportunity to get the whole crew together to celebrate with our favorite moments on and off the air, and relive some of the greatest clips from just a couple of the amazing guests we've had the pleasure of interviewing. We hope you'll download, and enjoy celebrating with us. We look forward to bringing you more of everything you'd like to see in the next 100 episodes! Keep up with the conversation on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram too!
Thank you for your support!

Poetry and texts like the Tao Te Ching will enter this half hour of sharing Dharma with Jaya Julienne Ashmore.
The sweetness and the seriousness, the rough and the fine, the fire and the freshness.
Together we will touch the paradoxes of life and of our ways of growing ripe.
We can sense our inner need and love of fluidity, and we can sense where we have grown rigid or stuck in our lives. Accepting the contrasts and surprises of life and transformation, we can come into a genuine living.

This is a show where I can discuss my views on a various topics with teens and adults. .Sometimes there is disconnect and this show is aimed to help bridge the GAP!! To find a little humor in the things we all do and maybe understand each other a little better (maybe). My goal is to encourage, help support and help motivate people in all areas of life and I hope that we will learn and teach others we come in contact with.
On this edition of the Open Stage, Michelle will interview the new facilitator for the SAW Songwriter’s Toolbox, Karl Straub. Karl is a performing songwriter with a variety of groups and teaches private music lessons. With his former band, The Graverobbers, he recorded 5 albums of his original songs. Several local groups including Last Train Home, Little Pink, and The Grandsons have also recorded Karl’s songs. In 2013, he co-wrote a musical called “Hangtown Dancehall” with Eric Brace. The soundtrack to the musical was released in 2013 and is available from Red Beet Records, Eric Brace's Nashville-based label. The musical was inspired by the California Gold Rush. It debuted in Nashville and has been performed at the Birchmere in Alexandria. In this interview, we'll talk about Straub’s musical background and his vision for the Songwriter’s Toolbox. We'll also play some of Karl's music. Straub’s first Songwriter’s Toolbox workshop will be held Saturday, January 24th, at the Surge, 1988 Kirby Road, McLean, VA 22101, from 10am-12:30pm. The Songwriter’s Toolbox will continue each 4th Saturday of the month throughout the year. For more information on the Toolbox, visit the SAW website
