    Deaths in the Banking Industry

    in Politics

Why are there so many deaths in the banking industry these days? Is it coincidence or an anomaly? The latest death came when a J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM) employee in Hong Kong jumped  to his death, falling from the roof of the company’s Asian headquarters on Tuesday. Local news reports in Hong Kong said police arrived at the scene but were unable to stop the 33-year-old man from jumping. At least five other banking related deaths have occurred since the beginning of the year.  So what gives?  Do they no something?  Are these really suicides?

John Omalley (Retired Government Worker to weigh in.)

Author Margaret Coel Discusses Her Latest - Killing Custer

    in Books

New York Times best selling author Margaret Coel joins host Stephen Campbell in this episode of Murder, Mysteries and Mayhem.  Margaret is the author of seventeen mystery novels set among the Arapahos on Wyoming’s Wind River Reservation. The novels, which she calls the Wind River Mysteries,  feature two sleuths: Jesuit priest Father John O’Malley and Arapaho attorney Vicky Holden. Her most recent novel, KILLING CUSTER, was published on September 3.    Tony Hillerman calls Margaret Coel 'a master' of her craft, and the Denver Post says she 'brings Native Americans to the fictional frontier in a way that honors the genre."   Margaret's novels have been on the bestseller lists of the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News. Margaret is a five-time winner of the Colorado Book Award and is also winner of the Willa (Cather) Award for Best Novel of the West. In March, 2010, Margaret was honored with the Frank Waters Award for “exemplary literary achievement, as well as a canon of writing that communicates a deep understanding, celebration, and love of our human nature and peoples of all races.”   Margaret is a fourth-generation Coloradan who grew up in Denver. She currently resides in Boulder where she writes from a study that looks out over the Rocky Mountains. A herd of deer graze on the hill outside her window and from time to time, a mountain lion will wander past. “Everyday,” she says, “I drink in the West.”    You can learn more about Margaret Coel's work at her website http://www.//margaretcoel.com/
