Most nurses didn’t choose their careers because of great hours, pay and working conditions. They entered the profession because of the desire to be of service to others. With a compassionate heart, nurses are a rare breed in the health care industry.
Working in health care never gets easier. Staying positive and engaged can be difficult. Yet, nurses show up over and over again, day after day, selflessly nurturing others with their hands and their hearts.
Join LeAnn Thieman and me on Tuesday, September 29, 10-11 A.M. CT US, as we discuss her own 30 years of nursing experience and other inspiring stories from Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Nurses. 101 Stories of Appreciation and Wisdom.

As a graduate of North Park University and Liberty University, she carries 25 years of experience as a nurse. She began her career working in pediatrics and then began to expand her knowledge with various positions in the nursing field. After being exposed to different experiences, she became an advocate for patient care initiatives. She used her passion to provide top quality patient care and motivation to help fellow nurses develop more skills, Emma then began to focus on becoming a nursing career coach. Although she was able to observe her patient’s health status improve, she gained much appreciation getting the opportunity to witness her fellow nurses improve on their clinical knowledge as well as develop better techniques so that they could become better nurses.
On this week's episode we discuss, Patients and Nurses: A Powerful Force an article that focuses on the Patient/Nurse relationship, and the quality of the partnership as well as how it has developed over time. Why are Nurses being coereced and extorted to AA for 5 years , forced to attend 3 days a week? How did this happen. Why and how did it get so entangled. I am shocked by what some Nurses have explained to me what is going on around the country. This is outrageous and must be stopped. If you are a lawyer and are willing to help please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and if you are a Nurse being forced to AA and NA and want to fight back please let us know so we can connect you to each other in hopes there can be a class action lawsuit.

Over time, this can severely affect a Nurse to the point where he or she may leave the profession....a phenomenon that has become known as "Burnout". Today we will hear actionable advice for Nurses on ways they can avoid the build-up of stress, reduce stress and implement methods of self-care.

Nursing is not a profession to take lightly It's a profession that can actually eat you alive if you let it. It can be rewarding as well. It was a difficult thing to give up my profession due to being sick with breast cancer. It was a chapter in my life I will never forget. I will never forget the patients and their families who impacted my life.
Come listen to night and get a veteran seasoned nurses perspective on nursing and see nursing in a whole new light.

Has anyone bother to explain to the FAA, or the commercail airlines this is in strict violation to the lay person in AA. BON (Board of Nursing) is also a bitch on wheels. The ASAM is not really anthing offical, except what they do to good doctors. Many kill themselves, rather then go to another AA meeting. But there is a law suit brewing and we are talking. Join us for a 1 hour live show with calls from ex - steppers in need of support.
