    Tolerance

    in Podcasting

People speak of "tolerance" but what is it really?  Is it different than respect?

Teaching Tolerance, Respect, and Compassion to Our Children with Amy Newmark

    in Moms and Family

Self-esteem, tolerance, good values – these are gifts that will last children a lifetime and help them become successful adults. You can’t be a success in life if you can’t get along with other people — at home, at school, and at play. The values that young adults learn today will stay with them for the rest of their lives and help them become the best adults they can be.

Dr. Milton Boniuk created The Boniuk Foundation to promote compassion, tolerance, and respect. He and his wife Laurie funded The Boniuk Institute for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance at Rice University, with the mission of promoting research, education, outreach, and better parenting to foster religious tolerance.

Join Amy Newmark, the publisher and editor-in-chief for Chicken Soup and me on Tuesday, June 23, 10-11 A.M. CT US  as we discuss their partnership with The Boniuk Foundation, and their use of the power of storytelling to inspire and teach kids how to be role models — exhibiting qualities of tolerance, acceptance and self-esteem, and making good decisions.

TOLERANCE--AN ACT OF OPERATING IN LOVE

    in Relationships

We will be discussing how many people only know one meaning of the word Tolerance. We simply choose to believe that it is all about 'putting up with someone'. Today we will be exploring the real meaning of learning how to put Tolerance in a spiritual mindset of application when it comes to operating in love with one another. When we focus on how to practice Tolerance on a spiritual level, we can stop believing the enemy's plot of having us to continue to say that we need to 'leave a person where they at' and call that Tolerance. Tolerance has more to do with operating in love than we allow ourselves to believe, and it is necessary in our understanding of each other, and highly applicable when we want to learn how to operate in love.

    Matthew 7:1 (MSG)

    A Simple Guide for Behavior

7 1-5 “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.

    Tolerance and Diversity

    in Politics

It is very clear that the Liberals want everyone to be tolerant and to have diversity, but there is a problem with all of that.

It seem that the Liberals like Obama would liek everone to hav etolerances and diversity to others, but the problem is that those that seek these things are the lairs, for they have no tolerance and divesty for others as well. Wer saw this by Obama opening up his mouth as saying that what happen on chaple hill as a hate crime.

It's Not About Freedom, Tolerance, or Equality

    in Politics Conservative

One of the prevailing themes for me this week has centered around one particular story that I'm going to share with you on today's show.  Every "minority class" in this country has a gripe these days it seems and specifically there's two minority classes that have a gripe with Christians.  Those two classes are the LGBT people and also people of a secular or even admitted Satanic "faith".  What's going on in our military is tragic and actually outright offensive in terms of the environment that is being created for people of a Christian faith.  So I'll share an article that shows what that's doing in terms of whether Christians even want to join the military.  Also, we're getting to a point in which I'm afraid equality under the law, that infamous 14th Amendment is at risk.  But it's not at risk in the way most people are saying.  There's also a story in Oklahoma in which *GASP* a teacher passed out bibles to her students.  Not only did the humanists get involved in that, but the Satanists have as well now.  If time permits, you'll find out how on today's show.  Plus, I'll try to throw in some encouraging news if I can from North Carolina.  But the key thing here is these minority activists do not want freedom, equality, or tolerance in our culture.  They want power and they want to continue to root Christianity from the culture's mainstream.  That's today's show at 4:30 Eastern time, archived afterward.

    Zero Tolerance = Zero Results

    in Fun

The Zero-Tolerance rules adopted by many schools across the country has come under fire in recent months after a series of well-publicized incidents involving the suspension and/or expulsion of otherwise good students for seemingly innocent actions.  The infractions triggering the rule varied from a schoolboy's pointing his finger at a fellow student like a gun and pretending to shoot him to a young girl's mother packing a small knife in her lunchbox so that she could cut an apple, to a young man who is accused of flashing a presumed gang hand signal in a photograph taken outside of school hours.  All of these young people were suspended or expelled without the benefit of investigation or allowing the students any chance of self-defence.  The rule and its draconian punishments is opposed by many educators and parents alike.  Recent reports by such organizations as the APA have called into question the efficacy of zero-tolerance.  They cite no net improvement in safety or student behavior as a result of aero-tolerance. Join Ken and Beth as they discuss this contentious issue.  Ken is against and Beth is for.  It looks like a showdown ladies and gentlemen. You won't want to miss it!  9:30PM PDT Thursday 3/13/2014,  Beware the Ides-2 of March if you don't show up!!

    Black By Color Only/Tolerance

    in Politics Conservative

Hosted by dark-skinned free-thinker Vincent E Brown, this show discusses a myriad of issues from the political, moral, and religious. Of course, every now and then a bit of controversy is liable to show up at any time, so tune in and listen to a host who is black, Christian, and conservative.

Tolerance-we hear this word a lot this day and time, especially during political and moral discussions. One group thinks it has cornered the market on so-called tolerance while pointing the finger of intolerance at its opposition. Hopefully, the air will be clear about who is really tolerant and who isn't.

The Heretics' Hour: Why Tolerance is the 'toxic trait'

    in Education

TOLERANCE is the by-word of the post-1960's era. It is enshrined today in academia, taking the place of "Truth" as the highest ideal to be achieved through  education. The why and wherefore will be explained.

Carolyn Yeager will discuss Adolf Hitler's views on Tolerance, using references from Mein Kampf in 1925, his paper "Road to Resurgence" in 1927, Table Talk in 1941-42, and his "Talk to Officers at Platterhof" in 1944. His views on tolerance, race and rulership remain surprisingly consistent. His economic views will also be discussed in regard to "Road to Resurgence."
