The Chicago Blackhawks earned their 12th straight victory last night, beating the Nashville Predators 4-1. That's a new franchise record for a team that seems to have it all rolling right now. The Bulls are in far worse shape, and have a very difficult test tonight when they host the Golden State Warriors. Is Rose vs Curry even a primetime matchup these days? Will the Bulls put their best selves on the floor like they usually do against strong opponents? Plus I've got my preview for the NFC Championship game between the Cardinals and Panthers. Which team has the better quarterback and which team will be moving on to Super Bowl 50? Call in @ 347.327.9183! BECAUSE CHICAGO LOVES SPORTS.
Morning Football Lovers,
Whelp we are almost at the end of the season as we hit week 16!
We have seen a few teams instantly clinch playoff berths but there is still a battle in the NFC North Division. With two regular season games the Packets are sitting 10-4 while the Vikjngs are looming close by at 9-5. Looks like we have to wait a couple more games before naming this divisions King.
The is also some good old NCAAF talk that we are going hit you with.
So tune in to Kass, Mike & Michael for fun, laughs and a ton for die hard fan opinion 10am CST via Blig Talk Radio!
For the third season in a row it was winner take all for the NFL North title in week seventeen. Unlike the last two seasons, the results was much different for the Packers. Minnesota beat the Packers by a final score of 20-13 and with the win the Vikings snapped the Packers NFC North title streak at four as the Vikings won their first North title since 2009.
With the loss the Packers fall to the fifth seed and have to travel to Washington for the wild card game. The Packers have a tough road a head of them if the want to play for their fifth Lombardi trophy. Evan the Troy recap the game and talk about where the Packers go from here
Jay Gruden won the NFC East coach of the year in a walk away. Preston Smith won the NFC East rookie of the year beating out his 2 teammates (Jameson Crowder and Brandon Scherrif). There's one big award left, NFC EAST MVP. There is only one candidate and Big Hurt will tell the few of you who are oblivious who it is. Plus we will discuss coaching changes and the future of the division.
Hosts Mark Ferraro @MarkFFerraro and Tom Murphy @murphytb break down all the latest sports topics on The Pigskin Pundits.
All four road teams won on Wild Card Weekend. It was the complete opposite in the Divisional Round.
Mark and Tom will preview and predict the Conference Championship Games on Sunday, January 24.
AFC Chamipnship: Pats @ Broncos
Once Again: Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning
NFC Championship: Cardinals @ Panthers
Will Carolina and Cam Newton "Dab" all the way to Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco?
Enjoy The Pigskin Pundits!
NFL Week 14 continued the trend of the favorites distancing themselves from the so-called playoff bottom feeders. The Panthers, Seahawks, Cardinals, Steelers, Patriots, and Chiefs look to play the part of the contenders, while the Jets, Broncos, Bengals, Vikings, Packers, and Redskins seem to be the pretenders of the upcoming post-season party. Will any of the lower seeds surplant the top seeds in the NFC or AFC championship games? Maybe Peyton will return to his classic form and lead the Broncos back to the Super Bowl, or maybe the Packers will overcome their numerous injuries to return to the Big Show and represent the muddled NFC in all of its glory. Nevertheless, it will be entertaining to watch the remaining three weeks. The Panthers are facing history in their attempt to match the 72' Dolphins, but mus also stay healthy for the fast approaching post-season. Get your NFL fix with Ed, Kevin, Big Pete, and Vincent as we lead are listeners on a comical journey through the NFL and NBA.
