Previewing the Mountain West in the NCAA tournament

    in Sports

Jeremy and Chris are back to preview the Mountain West teams in the tournament with our latest show. We will for sure talk about Wyoming taking on a possible under seeded Northern Iowa team and a St. John's team which San Diego State will face.

We also will discuss Boise State's game that may or may not be in progress at the time of this show for their game against Dayton in the First Four, and if they win a look ahead to their game against Providence.

Wyoming and San Diego State play on Friday with the Cowboys tipping at the very early hour of 10:40 a.m. local time in Seattle. The Aztecs get a reasonable tip at 9:40 p.m. local time.

Also, to make everything 100 percent clear, we are biased against your team. Well not this time as we want the Mountain West to do as good as possible.

Mountain West football: Recruiting, spring recap

    in Sports

We bring back our football podcast and barring a vacation or scheduling issue we will have a show weekly from now until August and then going twice a week through bowl season.

The first show back has us interviewing three-star linebacker commit Alec Simpson who has verbally pledged to play at Nevada. Simpson was receiving interest from BYU, Oregon and Wisconsin. The Wolf Pack were his only offer but he likely will be pursued in the fall during his senior year.

The rest of the show will focus on Utah State's spring game with our Aggies contributor Parker Roberston who was at the spring game. We will go over the highlights and what should be expected from the quarterback position and the team overall.

Of course expect some wackiness in our first show back.

Also, to make everything 100 percent clear, we are biased against your team.

Wyoming wins Mountain West title over San Diego State

    in Sports

Wyoming tops San Diego State to win its first Mountain West basketball title on Saturday afternoon. The Cowboys were led by Larry Nance, Jr. who had 14 points, with 12 in the first half. San Diego State had to play catch up after trailing 17-5 but they were able to comeback to make this a game.

The game came down to a San Diego State taking an ill-advised three-point shot by Aqell Quinn with seven seconds left, and it missed giving Wyoming their first ever Mountain West basketball title.

Tournament MVP was Josh Adams of Wyoming and he hit a clutch three to put Wyoming up by two points late in the game.
