He was also a two sport athlete at The University of Georgia and a former member of the National /Arena Football Leagues. Join Host Joe Lisi (former ABC Sports college football researcher) as he speaks with former Virginia Cavalier and NFL RB Terry Kirby.
Kirby was a standout high school athelte in the state off Virginia and became the Cavaliers 3 All-Time leading rusher with 3,348 rushing yards with 24 touchdowns while averaging 5.9 yards per carry from 1989-1992.
He was a dual threat running back who had great vision, speed and was a threat to take it the distance every time he touched the football. Kirby had great hands and was a threat for the Cavaliers and quarterback Shawn Moore.
Kirby became a 3rd round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 1993 NFL Draft and burst onto the scene in South Florida with an impressive rookie season. In his first year in Miami, Kirby rushed for 390 rushing yards with touchdowns on the ground. However, he was lethal in the passing game by cathing 75 passes for 874 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. Kirby became quarterback Dan Marino's main target in third down situations and created mismatches with he great speed.
In his 10 year career, Kirby rushed for 2,875 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also caught 333 passes for 3,222 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Later in his career, Kirby was utilized in teh kicking game by the San Francisco 49'ers and the Oakland Raiders. Kirby stepped up and had 4 career kick returns for touchdowns (3 kickoff, 1 punt).
Kirby was one of the most complete running backs in the league at that time. He was a very tough running back who played the game with intensity and continued to learn about how to become a better football player. He was a student of the game and understood the mental aspect of the NFL as well as the physcial part.
Today Kirby is a role model to younger atheltes by teaching them the fundamentals in become better atheltes and individuals off the field as well.
Join Host Joe Lisi (former ABC Sports college football researcher) as he speaks with former UW and NFL S Tony Parrish.
Parrish was a standout safety for the University of Washington and was a lethal hitter in one of the best secondaries in the NCAA. Parrish was a dominating safety who loved to come up in run support and dominate opposing ball carriers. He was excellent in pass coverage as well and took great angles in cutting down the field against opposing quarterbacks. He was the team captain of the 1997 team and became a 2nd round draft pick in the 1998 NFL Draft (35th overall) by the Chicago Bears.
Parrish had an outstanding career in the NFL and had 634 total tackles with 5 sacks and 30 interceptions.
Parrish was a workout warrior who was the strongest safety in the league during his tenure. Parrish was a complete safety and able to force opposing offenses to change their game plan because of his attacking style of play.
Parrish played for the Bears (1998-2001), 49'ers (2002-2006) and the Cowboys (2006). He recently played in the Legends of Candlestick Park event on Jul 12th and returned an interception from Dan Marino for a touchdown.

Garcia played his college ball at San Jose State and was an undrafted free agent in 1994. He was signed to the Calgary Stampeders during the 1994 season and became a 4-time CFL All-Star and Grey Cup Champion.
In 1999, Garcia was signed to the San Francisco 49'ers and had a great NFL career which lasted from 1999-2011. In his career, Garcia completed 61.6 percent of his passes with 25,537 passing yards and 161 touchdowns. Garcia had almost a 2-1 touchdown to interception ratio (83 career interceptions) and could also make plays with his legs. Garcia added 2,140 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns on the ground.
Garcia played the game with great vision and could complete balls into the tightest of "windows". Garcia was lethal once he broke contain because of his pinpoint accuracy on the run. Garcia was a smart quarterback and made great decisions in leading his teams to victory. He will most be remembered for one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history in 2002 against the New York Giants in the NFC Wild Card Playoff game. Garcia led his team back from a 24 point 3rd quarter deficit to lead the victory over New York 39-38.
Garcia was a 4-time NFL Pro Bowl selection in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2007.
Currently, Garcia mentors and trains younger athletes in high school, college and the NFL. Some of his former understudies are Mark Sanchez and Jamarcus Russell. Jeff loves the game of football and is a positive role model for athletes of all ages. He is a student of the game and teaches younger athletes how to become better players by understanding the mental part of the game as well as the physcial aspect.

Edwards played his college ball in East Lansing and helped lead the team to two Big Ten titles. He played alongside Percy Snow in 1989 and became a 2nd round draft pick in the 1991 NFL Drat by the Dallas Cowboys. Edwards won three Super Bowls with the Cowboys and was an intense player.
Edwards had great speed and was not afraid to play physical. He had great ball instincts that allowed him to register 347 total tackles and 91 assits in his solid eight year career.
