Park Ranger Alacia Welch chats with Big Blend Radio hosts Nancy J. Reid & Lisa D. Smith about the California Condor Recovery Program in Pinnacles National Park, located in Central California. Alacia discusses the issues that led to the condors almost going extinct, how they were brought back into the wild, and the park's outreach program. Nancy and Lisa were visiting the park in April 2015, as part of the Big Blend Spirit of America Tour, their quest to visit all 407 National Park units and their gateway communities, and cover them on Big Blend Radio, Big Blend Video, in NationalParkPlanner.com, and in Big Blend Radio & TV Magazine.

This show will discuss the legal aspects of Service Dogs. We will interview Lawyers, Leaders in the Service Dog industry, Owners who trained their own Service Dogs, and Handlers who obtained their Service Dogs from a Service Dog Organization. We hope to create an environment where people can learn more about their options when it comes to service dogs, The legal issues surrounding fake service dogs, many organizations choices available, the cost of training a Service Dog, personal experiences with Service Dogs, and what handlers wish people would know about them and their Service Dogs.
Tonights show will feature Beth Hicks discussing issues concerning her service dogs with the listening audience who call in to speak.
We strive to provide a show where people who have a service dog can learn and express themselves.
We offer insights and best practices and encourge responsible handling of service dogs.
We are always looking for guest with interesting stories.

Don Anderson has served the sporting fraternity in Jamaica and the Caribbean for over thirty years in various administrative and management positions. He served as the President of the Jamaica Men’s Field Hockey Association between 1979 and 1983, was elected the 2 Vice President of the Jamaica Olympic Association in 1981, a position he held until he was elected the 1 Vice President of the JOA in 1997, serving until 2013 in that capacity. He has held managerial positions for Jamaica at the last seven Olympic Games from Seoul in 1988 through to London in 2012, serving as the Chef de Mission for the Jamaica team to the last five Olympic Games. In this capacity he worked with Usain Bolt in the Athens, Beijing and London Games and several other top athletes.
He is currently the Chairman of the Government’s Institute of Sports, appointed by the Prime Minister, a member of the National Council on Sports, chaired by the Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Government’s Capacity Building and Infrastructure Committee charged with the responsibility of spearheading the establishment of the National Sports Museum of Jamaica. Ground for this museum is expected to be broken soon.
