Nancy Lynn Jarvis was a Santa Cruz, California, Realtor® for more than twenty five years, but writing has proven to be so much fun that she officially retired and relinquished her license on May 5th. After earning a BA in behavioral science from San Jose State University, she worked in the advertising department of the San Jose Mercury News. A move to Santa Cruz meant a new job as a librarian and later a stint as the business manager for Shakespeare Santa Cruz at UCSC. Nancy’s work history reflects her philosophy: people should try something radically different every few years.“Mags and the AARP Gang” represented a new direction in her writing adventure. After four Regan McHenry Real Estate Mysteries, Nancy put her characters, Regan, Tom, and Dave, on hiatus so she could let Mags and her gang, characters who had been forming in her mind for the past year, tell you their story.

“Show me your childhood photos and I’ll show you a life that longs to be lived, truths that tug to be told, stories that sigh to be seen.” Meet Nancy Segal, author, speaker, radio host, teacher and spirit guide, Nancy wrote and sketched her amazing book, Nancy's Truth: Starved for their own truths, creatively stuck—women begged her to teach them how to do what she did, return to their authentic self using their childhood photographs. Nancy created Phoeticsmeaning: The poetic truth in every childhood photograph.’ That was four years ago. Today Phoetics is a phenomenon. Women swear by its intimacy and report feeling much closer to their daughters and mothers, often as quickly as the first session/workshop. Nancy offers Women’s Workshops and Private Sessions (In Person or via Skype)throughout the country. www.phoetics.co ; Email: firstname.lastname@example.org

In her recently-published book Tilting Toward Chaos, transition coach, writer and advocate of calm Nancy G. Shapiro shares a radical approach to befriending change.
• She'll share practices, tools, and stories that support people navigating the inevitable shifts of their personal and professional lives.
• She'll invite the listener to pause on the quivering edge of constant, inevitable transition and take courageous yet calm steps toward the unknown.
For within the constantly shifting landscape of our days lie countless opportunities to re-imagine, re-create and renew the very fabric of our existence.
Meet Nancy G. Shapiro: She once had a turbulent brain. Then she returned to college at the age of 53 to study the transformative effects of poetry. Simultaneously enrolled in a coaching accreditation program, she became fascinated with mindfulness and perspective, linguistic awareness, and the collaborative breakthroughs in neurobiology and psychology.
Her book, Tilting Toward Chaos, is part one of a larger work-in-progress about the power-filled calm of clarity, compassion and choice. When she's not inspiring her global clients on skype, you'll find her walking her dogs in the countryside surrounding San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
