Jeremy and Chris are starting to preview and breakdown the Mountain West football season. We are starting with a big breakdown of how we think the league will finish with bowl projections, key players and early Mountain West title game participants.
This is early to do this but going forward we will be breaking down each team once a week up until the season begins, and then we will likely revisit these projections come late August.
We are back! Jeremy Mauss and Chris Hondros bring back the podcast on a regular basis (at least once a week) as we trek forward toward the 2014 college football season.
Monday night's show will recap spring football and we will be looking at the plethora of position battles at quarterback around the league. We will discuss UNLV's postseason ban and also the TV schedule that has been released for most of the Mountain West games.
The Mountain West had their spring meetings recently and discussed many topics including expansion, the length of the college basketball conference seasons, competing with bigger conferences and extra money from the college football playoff.
We will also get into some transfer -- or really non-transfer news -- UNLV basketball getting to showcase recruits at the 18-U national team and of course other randomness since this is still a mostly college football show and it is May.
On Sunday's show we will be talking all hoops with a look back at the weekend, specifically New Mexico vs. San Diego State. Plus, we look ahead to the Mountain West tournament.
Tonight's guests we have Brad Best and Marc Cox who each cover San Diego State, and New Mexico for Mountain West Connection.
The NFL Draft is in the books and the Mountain West had 16 players drafted this year, and many, many others were signed as undrafted free agents. Jeremy and Chris will go over the picks and see how these now former Mountain West payers will make it in the NFL.
Plus, we will look into what players were steals, went too high, too low and the undrafted players who will make an impact despite not getting their name called during the draft.
Jeremy and Chris get together to recap the wild signing day that was as it pertains to the Mountain West. We will discuss who earned the best class, go over winners and losers, the surprise signings, team needs and of course our typical show of going off topic and randomness.
We don't claim to be experts in breaking down high school film or project who will be the next biggest star in the Mountain West, but we do know how to make sense of all of the information that was handed down on Wednesday.
Before the show airs make sure to get caught up with all of our signing day coverage which he have been compiling all year round.
Join Elusive1 & Henry May as they welcome Jeff Headlee to the show. Jeff is the AIMS Co-Founder and Team Researcher
Jeff is one of three founding members of AIMS and resident researcher and technology expert. Well-versed in mountain folklore as well as textbook history, Jeff lines up witnesses for the team’s investigations and runs the thermal camera during the night hunts.
The latest episode has us discussing the big picture of Mountain West football recruiting with Scout.com's Brandon Huffman. Huffman is their national recruiting analyst, but he has specialized out West for many years. Sit back and listen as we get all the latest as national signing day is just 10 days away.
Only Caleb and Joshua believed God when the nation originally entered the Promised Land to check it out. Now 45 years later Caleb claims a mountain which is inhabited by Anakim -- giants! He said that his strength was the same as it was four and a half decades earlier. Such faith!!
New King James Version (NKJV)
11 As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strengthwas then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. 12 Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.”
Join host Daniel Michael as he will be discussing a much ignored topic by "big media".
That topic is Mountain Top Removal.
What are the environmental impacts of Mountain Top Removal ? What effect does this practice have on the people of the Appalachian region?
How did local governments allow this to happen?
We will be discussing these things and more join us!
(Associate producer Genise R White will be returning next week.)
Here is a video from our friends Woven Green. This is from a recent performance live at the Tally Ho theater: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpG4jeCaAks
