    Mountain West quarterback race

    in Sports

The quarterback situation for the Mountain West schools is up in the air for nearly every school. So far during spring practices and only a few of the jobs have been settled with the most being decided in fall camp. Jeremy and Chris are back to discuss these quarterback battles and other spring musings.

Is it quite possible that New Mexico has the best quarterback situation, at least with returning talent and experience. Utah State has an argument for that as well but that only matters if Chuckie Keeton can stay healthy and that is not likely going off of his history. Maybe it is Air Force who has Nate Romine under center and while he didn't start last year, he did see time in nine games in 2013.

As of now Boise State, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV (but they are close), Hawaii, Wyoming, Colorado State and Fresno State have not officially announced who their starting quarterback will be.

Quarterback play will be a key issue in deciding the Mountain West next year, which is an obvious statement but this year it is important due to the amount of turnover.

    2015 UNLV football preview

    in Sports

Jeremy and Chris are back to continue our preview series of each team before the season begins. This week we discuss UNLV and their first season under new head coach Tony Sanchez.

Sanchez is moving up from perennial top high school program from Las Vegas' Bishop Gorman to UNLV which may or may not have as good as facilities as a high school program in the area.

There is a lot of work for the Rebels but luckily they are in the weaker West Division and have a top wide receiver in Devonte Boyd. Also, having Blake Decker as their starting quarterback in place is a leg up on most teams in the conference.

We also go over Mountain West media days with the interesting quotes from coaches and payers, plus go over the all-conference and order of finish.

    in Sports

Jeremy and Matt are joined by SB Nation's bracket expert Chris Dobbertean to discuss how the Mountain West will fare in getting bids into the NCAA Tournament. We also will discuss the past week and look ahead to how the remaining games will impact seeding for the conference tournament.

Who is the hottest team heading into the Mountani West tournament, and is the easy answer just going with Boise State since they swept San Diego State and split the season series with Colorado State?

Previewing the Mountain West in the NCAA tournament

    in Sports

Jeremy and Chris are back to preview the Mountain West teams in the tournament with our latest show. We will for sure talk about Wyoming taking on a possible under seeded Northern Iowa team and a St. John's team which San Diego State will face.

We also will discuss Boise State's game that may or may not be in progress at the time of this show for their game against Dayton in the First Four, and if they win a look ahead to their game against Providence.

Wyoming and San Diego State play on Friday with the Cowboys tipping at the very early hour of 10:40 a.m. local time in Seattle. The Aztecs get a reasonable tip at 9:40 p.m. local time.

Also, to make everything 100 percent clear, we are biased against your team. Well not this time as we want the Mountain West to do as good as possible.

    Abril Mondragon, Taos Mountain Grandmothers

    in Religion

Most of tonight's program is prerecorded, and next week we will be speaking much more with Abril.

Abril Mondragon. Taos Valley, New Mexico

Don Alejandro Cirilo Perez, Don Patricio Dominguez, Sequoyah Trueblood, Mike Two Bears Andrews and other men went into prayer together and received the ceremonial vision for the Passing of the Staff of Authority to the Feminine side. Part of this vision was for this “new/old ceremony” to go worldwide, to support and nourish the Grandmothers whom are called to the teaching, healing, caregiving of the Wise Ways and Life Ways of the Feminine.
We are grateful for their untiring dedication throughout their lives to prepare and educate the world for the Feminine’s return.

In February 2013, Grandmother Abril Mondragon was asked by Don Patricio if she would gather a group of grandmothers who would accept this ceremony along with her. Invitations were sent out, not necessarily based on who is most “visible” in our community.

The Vision is inclusive of Grandmothers from All Nations. The Ceremony is now passed to other Grandmothers by the Grandmothers who have have received this Ceremony.

Throughout the last 5125 years, Staffs of the Feminine that were passed with the cultural knowledge and power of the feminine were destroyed due to colonization. Many Wumyn have re-created other types of Staffs. May these Staff’s of Authority be nourished once again and be passed from generation to generation through the matrilineal birth-lines.
