Today's show is called "More than Enough." In the show I attempt to paint a picture that you have more capacity and opportunity than you can imagine. It's from a sermon I shared by the same title. Some of what you will hear includes:
I think, sometimes, people believe God runs empty! God wants us to take ownership of the power that we have in God!
“There was a man who was cleaning up his desk one Friday afternoon when he noticed an envelope that had been opened. Someone must have placed it there while he was on the phone. He opened it and read it, and to his shock and dismay it was a notice of being terminated, being laid-off from his job. His entire department was being eliminated along with his position. After all the years he had given to his corporation, he found himself filled with resentment and the sense of being victimized. The man sat slumped in his chair in utter despair.
He began to think of all the terrible things that were going to happen to him. His entire lifestyle would have to be altered. He thought, "I'll have to sell my house; I'm too old to get another job; I'm useless; I'm all washed up."
At that moment, the man noticed a spider on his desk, and without thinking he brushed it off. He was amazed though as he watched as the tiny creature automatically spin a strand to bear its weight and swing gracefully to the floor.....
DON'T MISS THE LAST FEW MINUTES OF THE SHOW. I SHARE A POWERFUL SCENE FROM THE MOVIE "FACING THE GIANTS" WHEN A YOUNG MAN IN CRAWLING ON A FOOTBALL FIELD WITH HIS COACH TELLING HIM NOT TO QUIT.
We serve a God of more than enough so why not have that mindset of abundance. When God created you, He created you to bring forth abundance. Experience the prosperous life that only God has made available. This message will empower you to carry out your God given assignment.
Levar Fisher is an awarded college athlete who became a successful pro, captaining not one – but two NFL teams, and later taking that leadership role to the stage as a sought – after motivational speaker. His amazing story has inspired audiences’ nationwide - receiving praise from notables like author and speaker, Les Brown and former Florida State Football Coach, Chuck Amato. Surprisingly, Levar’s rise to the top isn’t because he hasn’t made mistakes...but because he has made the mistakes and has learned how to channel them into positives.
Growing up in a small eastern, North Carolina town, Levar didn’t find a lot to keep him out of trouble or way from a Burger King. Subsequently, he received his first motivation for success from bullies who made fun of his weight and his dreams of playing professional football. A few years and lot of hard work later, Levar was recruited by North Carolina State University, attending on a full football scholarship. He made 1st team All - ACC selection in 1999, claiming that honor again in 2000 and 2001, as well as ACC’s Defensive Player of the year. He was a Butkus Semi Finalist for Best Linebacker in the Country 2000 and 2001, and a 2000 Bronko Nagurski Finalist (Best Defensive Player in the Country). You don’t become that good as a linebacker without a few tackles (try 492 for a career), and when you are really competitive, you lead the nation in tackles per game with (15.1, 166 for the year).
Today we're going to chat with Levar about his story, the work he does with youth and learn what it means to be "More Than a Pro."
Do you remember the Transformers? Autobots vs the Decepticons. The Autobots' mission is to "wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons." What an awesome cartoon series that became one of Hollywoods best movie series franchises. In the original theme song the lyrics inform us that they are "more than meets the eye".
The same is true for you. There is more to you than meets the eye. On today's edition of Your Blueprint for Life we continue to talk about change. You have been transformed into something great.
"Some of you atheists act more Christian than most Christians I know." Ever heard that before? Sure, it's equivocation, but it is so common. I know it's meant to be a compliment, but is it?
You'll get my thought, plus your own, but only if you call.
Let the awesome begin!

In the last episode, I talked about the equivocation believers make between being a christian and being a good person. This episode, I want to talk about an equivocation made by atheists.
I'll often point to the harm religion does, but more broadly, I'll point to the harm FAITH causes, and even more broadly, I'll point to the harm caused by not thinking critically. These are not all the same, but sometimes, atheists will be quick to lump them together,
Is that fair?
My take, plus your calls.
Awesome doesn't begin to describe it.
in The Bible
King David did not just "settle" for defeating the Jebusites, He advanced forward to "conqueror."
He named the fortress of Zion, for which his opponents said he was powerless to defeat, "The City of David (2Samuel 5:7)." In his earlier days as a shepherd boy and while God was training him for his called kingly position, we see pictures where his foot is placed on the neck of the giant, Goliath. This foothold is understood to mean, not just conquest, but "more than a conqueror" or, "down for the count" as a referee might judge today. When Jesus rose from the dead in bodily form, He did not just conquer death, He was "more than a conqueror." The apostle Paul said: "We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:37)."
The show today will look at the different pieces of spiritual armor and what purpose they serve. We will also look at the Sword of The Spirit which is The Word of God and how to use this equipping correctly. The show today will address "strongholds" and what these are to us today.
