If life is a blank canvas waiting for us to paint our vision, ever wonder why so many of us have not yet painted our masterpiece? It may be that we have not given our life the proper focus to align the energy of change - to draw forth that next level of vibrational frequency that lifts us higher into the realm of thought fulfilling experience. We know it's possible; we may have even exercised this gift before. Yet the question is: "How do we remain consistent?" Mindfulness meditation is an entry into that portal. Our guest, Charles A. Francis, will explain how through simple and constant practice, we can gloriously paint the canvas that is our life.
Charles A. Francis, is the co-founder and director of the Mindfulness Meditation Institute. He has studied the practice of mindfulness with Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. For over 18 years, he has worked to help people find inner peace through mindfulness meditation.

Buddha's Book of Meditation: Mindfulness Practices for a Quieter Mind with Joseph Emet
Mindfulness meditation is an increasingly popular form of an ancient and powerful technique for reducing stress, elevating one’s mental state, and improving the practitioner’s overall quality of life. Award-winning author and mindfulness meditation teacher Joseph Emet now takes you down a step-by-step path to integrate this potent form of meditation into your daily life.
Offering tips, techniques, and practices from mindfulness meditation—coupled with stories from the author’s life as a teacher—Buddha's Book of Meditation guides you to a life teeming with the benefits of regular meditation practice. This volume also includes original music by the author that the reader can access through their device or the web—calming the mind and enhancing the meditation experience.
Joseph started the Mindfulness Meditation Centre in 1997, because he had found the practice of mindfulness very helpful in his own life, and wanted to share it with others. On January 14, 2003, he was invited by Thich Nhat Hanh to receive the Lamp Transmission as a Dharma teacher. His Dharma name is Dwelling in Peaceful Concentration. He has been trying to live up to that name ever since. Joseph has trained several thousand people in mindfulness practices in large and small groups, for organizations, and in private sessions.
Joseph holds a Doctorate in Music from Boston University. He has been certified in Reality Therapy Counselling with Dr. William Glasser, and has been a Fulbright scholar. He has been a long time T’ai Chi practitioner with Master Lee Shiu Pak, one of the original Yang school students.

What's missing you ask...'take time to live, our World and Life have so much to give!' Are you carrying in your mind the insane burden of a hundred things that you will or may have to do in the future instead of focusing your attention on the one thing you can do now.
Our work is done in mind alone and the only equipment needed is THOUGHT.
We live in mind and it can only return to us what we are THINKING.
Tomorrow is promised to no one...etc.
Take baby steps...etc.
When your attention wanders...etc.
When walking/exercising practice...etc.

This episode of Pneumatikos will explore mindfulness as reaveled in the biblical documents. Mindfulness is an ancient discipline that is not limited to one religious tradition. However, within the biblical documents mindfulness is enjoined for believing ones as a stablizing power. Without focus we can begin to drift away from our faith and we will find ourselves adrift within the cosmic system. Mindfulness is spiritual technology that can free the spirit and open the doors of the heart into deep interconnection (fellowship) with God.

3 Simple Health Strategies For Seniors
How to make lifestyle choices that lead to health and wellness.
Families with aging loved ones can help guide decision making for happier, healthier family members. Here are three simple health strategies for seniors that will help to make a positive, long lasting difference.
Get to the Root of Restless Sleep
Sleep declines with age naturally, and by age 70, a typical night of rest is just over 6 hours. A trip to the doctor can often uncover the root of sleep issues, whether it’s chronic pain, improper medications or something more serious.
Boost Immunity With Smart Diet Choices
A robust immune system is vital for reducing the risk of getting sick and staying healthy year round. Great foods for supporting immunity are vegetables, fruits and whole grains.
Skilled In Home Nursing For Safety, Guidance and Care
Professional in home care offers a loved one the assistance they need to age at home independently. Help administering medicine, light housekeeping, even running errands helps seniors stay confident and independent.

Patrice Gilgan joins us this evening to expose the abuse and drugging of her father at the hands of doctors and nursing home workers in two different facilities in Orange County, California. The first instance of abuse both physical and with drugs occured at Irvine Cottage Board and Care where Gerald had been sent to recover from brain surgery. Gerald was drugged within 24 hours of admittance to the home with massive doses of Haldol, Seroqel and overdosed on morphine. There was no prescription for the morphine. Cottage Board and Care is operated by St Joseph Hospice, a Catholic enterprise.
At a second facility, Villa Valencia Skilled Nursing, (a St Michael Hospice and another Catholic owned enterprise), Gerald was given 7 different drugs. None of these drugs were to be used on brain injured or individuals suffering from dementia. When Gerald was finally freed from this facility and hospitalized again, it took more than two weeks for him to respond due to the massive drug overload in his system.
Videos of Gerald, and of some of the abuse he endured are available on the you tube channel; Ireland Dallas
Gerald Gilgan was a retired New York City Fire Fighter. This man did not deserve this callous treatment. No one does. Yet it happens to the elderly every day here in the US.
