J Michael Wood has been practicing alternative health modalities for over 40 years. Since 1999, he has trained in Breathwork with the Hendricks Institute and Michael Grant White, author of Optimal Natural Breathing. He was certified as a Professional Breath and Movement Coach with the Hendricks and serves as a Core Faculty Member of the school. In addition, he received the Masters degree in Medical Qigong from the International Institute of Medical Qigong, and learned advanced Medical Qigong for Cancer Therapy from Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson.
J Michael has studied in China with the monks of the Celestial Masters Daoist Sect, and trained in Medical Qigong with Master Duan Shi Liang, as well as Master Robert Peng, a Shaolin-trained healer. He has been accepted by the AOBTA as a Certified Practitioner in Medical Qigong, a Level 4 Qigong Teacher, and Advanced Clinical Practitioner with the National Qigong Association, in which he served as the Chairman of the Board.
J Michael also taught Medical Qigong as a post-graduate course at Logan College of Chiropractic. He is in private practice of Medical Qigong, and provides adjunctive therapy in Breathwork at the Centre for Integrated Health. He is also the Director of the Middle Tennessee Branch of the International Institute of Medical Qigong.

Myra Wood
On the next edition of Fiber Hooligan, my guest will be the very funny and talented Myra Wood. Myra is a fiber artist, both a knit and crochet wear designer, and author of Crazy Lace and Creative Crochet Lace along with numerous published patterns in magazines and books. She's appeared on numerious TV shows including Knitty Gritty & Knit and Crochet Now. Myra teaches a wide range of inspiring knit and crochet classes for STITCHES Expos and Craftsy.com. She'll be joining us to talk about her design sensibilities, how she approaches design, as well as to talk about a special project that she's working on.
We'll also be having the winner of the guest co-hooligan contest, Mary Sarnese, on the show to help with Myra's interview.
