Its Wedding Wednesday and that means we want to help you plan your day. Our guest this evening is Alice Goetschel of Memorable Occasions.
As founder of Memorable Occasions by Alice, she has always loved weddings and everything about them. After graduating from college she was a bridesmaid herself several times and she realized that there was a need for someone other than one of the bride’s family to oversee the planning and coordination of the day…someone who was not so emotionally involved that they overlooked things and were so busy that they couldn’t enjoy spending time with their guests.
Never knowing that being a wedding planner could be a viable profession, she set her sights on becoming a kindergarten teacher and in the meantime asked every bride she knew if they would like her to help them in any way. Today, she is a successful certified wedding planner and we have her on our show to talk about weddings. Get a cool beverage, your pen and pencil and relax as we talk with Alice about how she makes weddings Memorable Occasions. Always searching for the innovative, excellence and fun, Black Bag and Wedding Wednesdays, the perfect pair!

Past guests have included comedian and ThisIs50 host Jack Thriller, past VIBE Vixen editor, Nicole McGloster, rapper Skillz, and more. So who's assisting me this year? You're in for a special treat.

THIS WEEK: Memorial Day: What does it mean to you?
Memorial Day marks the day Americans observe and honor service members who have fought in wars and died. It is customary to fly the flag half-staff until noon, put flags or flowers on grave sites, visit monuments dedicated to the armed forces, and march in parades. To celebrate this National holiday, many families head out to the beach, park, camping ground or their own backyards for a day of grilling and eating, fun in the sun, and relaxing, thanks to the many men and women who have died for our freedom to enjoy such activities.
On tonight’s show, as we honor and appreciate those who died serving our country, let us honor former selves, pre-TBI. While the holiday is dedicated to the Armed Forces, let it be a reminder for ourselves to commemorate our lives before our brain injury and celebrate who we have become since. Kevin will share his insights about the celebration of Memorial Day and the special meaning it has to him since his TBI. Join him tonight at 7:00pm PDT and help Kevin celebrate the true meaning of honor with the "Marvelous Maggie" (Kevin's 24/7 Care Partner).
