Every year in New Jersey an estimated five hundred new school board members begin their service on their local boards of education. They want to be effective, but there is so much to learn, and there are many relationships to build in a very short time. What can these new board members learn from others who have experienced that same situation recently? What lessons did board members who have just finished their first term learn, that might help our new board members in 2016? What can veteran school board members do to make the transition the best for all? Please join NJSBA’s host Ray Pinney as he discusses these lessons with school board members Kathy Helewa of Warren Township, Tom Maier of Pemberton and Jeffrey Klein of Fair Lawn.
The emotional impact of a disability and its effect on quality of life are important to consider for both the individual and caregivers, and can lead to depression and anxiety. Many types of support groups that are free and acessible are available to provide information, education and mutual peer support. Members of Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania (EFEPA) support groups join us to talk about how their lives have been positively impacted by their participation as individuals with epilepsy and caregivers.
PA Independent Living Radio Show is brought to you Fridays at 12:00 pm Eastern, by The Arc of Luzerne County. Please consider a donation in support of our work to help improve the quality of life for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their families.

in The Bible
During my ministry career (35 years), at some point I have been guilty of putting more emphasis on the local church or my denomination, than the teachings of Jesus and the Holy Scriptures. We tell others to study the Word, yet we ourselves as leaders sometimes don't practice what we study. For example, Apostle Paul said let there be no divisions among you. Over the years of the church, leaders have been agents of divisions. Denominations are the result. We as a church, are more divided than any other national organization in America. As leaders and members of churches we sometimes forget that Jesus pre-dates our local church and denominations. In many ways we have shifted from Jesus as our foundation of truth and have put more emphasis on human structures and intellectual church gymnastics. To become better leaders and members we must turn back to what Jesus said about Him being the Way, the Truth, and the Life. That means everything He taught is to be heard and practiced by His followers. In Luke 6:46 He says, Why call me Lord, Lord and not do what I say? Shall we call Him Lord Lord? If so, we must do what He says. We will talk about it on Today's Word.

In Wolf Trackers opinion, New Destiny Cednter Church Members are asking wrong First Fruits question. Who cares if Paula White is taking the First Fruits Offering money. The real question is, "Why are these poor souls giving Paula White the First Fruits Offering in the first place knowing that she is a FRAUD and her First Fruits teachings is a complete SCAM?"
We will discuss the ways that having a bad relationship with a person's friends or family members can impact a relationship.
Everyone has their own period of growth but what if a family members messes up on a regular bases...how many times do you come to their rescue? Is it an unlimited amount of times or do you say enough is enough? Does it mean you love them less when you say, hey i can no longer help you? Is it a difference between someone one messes up for nothing vs someone who falls while trying? Also we ask the question...should dogs be given weed?
