Social Media vs Real Life - Is Social Media Destroying Relationships?
There's no doubt social media enables us to organize our real-world relationships, and even meet new people
But could social networking have an adverse effect on our quality of life?
Consider this: 24% of respondents to one survey said they've missed out on enjoying special moments in person because — ironically enough — they were too busy trying to document their experiences for online sharing. Many of us have had to remind ourselves
to "live in the now" — instead of worry about composing the perfect tweet or angling for just the right Instagram shot. Worldwide, Facebook users spend 10.5 billion minutes each day surfing the site, that's nearly 20 years per day that people spend living online instead of offline.

Parenting is a hard job, especially in today's society. Government interference, lax laws, unfair "correctional" institutions and the ever-powerful loss of the village has altered the rights and disciplinary options a parent has in raising their children. As a result, a new alternative has been utilized by many parents--humiliating their children via social media outlets such as Facebook and Instagram. This is the method where parents are giving their children ridiculous haircuts on video and sending them to school, or making their underaged children confess on video their real age and expose their forms of punishment on video with their parents narrating the "truth" about their identity on video to inform the world who they are truly dealing with. Perhaps this method was pioneered by the uncle of 16-year-old Michael Taylor,(the man who tried to save his nephew from joining a gang by telling the world on video that his nephew was just a regular kid and then proceeded to spank him on video for the world to see), or perhaps the consistent subliminal fear of arrest or other repercussion by the government fuels it. Whatever the reason, is this method a good one? And should the gvernment then have a right to intervene? Join in tonight with your thought at 10:30 PM by calling 347-327-9967.
