Our guest this evening is Stanley D. Glick , Ph.D. , M.D., Professor Emeritus at Albany Medical College, who will be talking about his research on ibogaine and the ibogaine congener 18-MC (18-Methoxycoronaridine) and their potential as anti-addiction drugs.
Mr. Jonze is originally from Watts California; born Christopher L Jones. In 1984, the Jones family moved to Seattle Washington.
Mr. Jonze discovered his passion for music at the age of 16. Mr. Jonze's first published work was released in 1999. He was first featured on a song called Da Twist, on an album titled Save me. Mr. Jonze recorded his first solo song called "Haters", which was placed on a Pointside Records compilation titled "Out Tha Trunk Muzik".
Mr. Jonze has also done work with Choose Up Entertainment, Twomp-0-Six Records, and BigCity Record Fellas recording group, who released "The Shakedown" , a Mr. Jonze & Gangasta Nutt collaboration. Other collaborations that Mr. Jonze has been involved in consist of collaborations with other artists such as Yukmouth, Cocain, and Domino.
In 2006, Mr. Jonze made the decision to go independent by creating a record label called "Smash-Mouth-Muzic" and a publishing company titled "BigJonzePublishing". Mr. Jonze began expanding his education in business in 2011, when he decided to attend "Highline Community College" as a business student. In 2013, Mr. jonze received his Associates of Applied Science Degree.
Mr. Jonze currently attends "Central Washington University", enrolled as a student in the Information Technology Administrative Management (ITAM) program, in pursuit of his bachelor’s degree. June Daguiso is a Writer, Producer, Director, Actor and Martial Artist, as well as Founder of "MJD Productions", LLC, "World Music and Independent Film Festival" and "Hollywood in Washington, DC" talk show. He is also known for the films Full Circle (2007), Diary of a Serial Killer (2013) and Drug Related 3 (2012).
In 2006, Master June produced "Full Circle", his first feature film project.
"Full Circle" had four nominations for the original soundtrack at the Grammy Awards.
June went on to produce "Drug Related 1, 2 and 3”, “Jeepney", “Collide", "I Am An American-The Movie", and "A Split Personality”.
In 2010, his film "Collide" received 2 Grammy award nominations.
As the founder of the World Music & Independent Film Festival, and Hot Media International Film Festival in Washington, DC, it is June’s dream to bring filmmakers and musicians from all over the world to the D.C. area in celebration of the films that are made in the nation’s capital.
