Veronika Lineberry Manzella, a member of the Holy Cross Africa Ministry
Core Team at St. Monica's Church, was determined to make a difference when
she saw a video about the struggles, despair and plight of the people of
Dandora, Kenya. She set out to raise funds for the Brother Andre Dispensary
and the Voluntary Counseling and Testing Clinic in Africa. In 2007,
following Veronika’s untimely passing, the people of Dandora dedicated the
VCT Clinic in her honor and renamed it “Veronika’s Place.”
Ourgoal for our 3rd year is to raise approximately $30,000
dollars per year to maintain the food distribution at its current level.

Host Todd Weaver is honored to welcome Mr. Bruce Van Horn to the show. Bruce is walking, talking proof that you can change your life by changing your thoughts. He loves sharing his story with the world because he knows that you can transform your mind and create the life you want, rather than just accepting the life you get. Bruce is a father, best-selling author, Life Coach, speaker, entrepreneur, marathon runner, and cancer survivor. His story is one of completely losing sight of his passion and purpose through his early adult life by pursing happiness and fulfillment through material and career success. After many personal and professional setbacks, including filing Bankruptcy twice, and the death of his daughter, Bruce had given up on life and was just going through the motions. He says, “In my mid forty’s, I came to a place where I need to decide what to do. I hated my life and couldn’t live like this any longer. I needed to either end my life or completely change it!” Bruce chose to change his life and his world is completely different because of those changes! Through his “Life Is A Marathon” podcast, Bruce speaks to an audience of thousands of people every day, from over 180 countries across the globe, delivering a message of hope, encouragement, and inspiration by sharing practical, insightful wisdom to help you not just survive, but to thrive at this marathon called Life!
