BOYCOTT CHRISTMAS LISTENING PARTY FEATURING DJ WHYTE JESUS

    in Entertainment

It's a new day, it's a new age. People have woken up to the fact that consumerism is not their friend. Every item that is purchased potentially funds a maniac police officer's murderous rampage. The people successfully boycotted Black Friday. They have boycotted the malls. Now there is a major push to #BOYCOTTCHRISTMAS and all consumer driven "holidays" that do nothing but exploit and disenpower the people. #2RAW4TV supports the boycott and the #movement to #liberate the people from the tyranny of #capitalism. In celebration of the courage, power, and potential of the people 2RAW4TV is throwing a listening #party featuring your favorite artist and #Jesus

Keeping on with the Christmas Spirit

    in Motivation

    Christmas is here.

It's mainly a happy time for us all irrespective of Religious backgrounds. Shopping Malls and Supermarkets are buzzing with people either buying girts for friends, family members, colleagues or fellow church members – and there’s a general sense of joy and happiness in the air. That’s the best bit about this season. But why can’t this jolly atmosphere last all year long? We can’t expect to go shopping all year round – however; we can at least keep the high spirit going for longer I guess. How can we do this though? How do we remain happier all year round despite the worries in our lives? Lets discuss this in just 30 minutes on the Ayodele Show.

Before I forget – Merry Christmas.

He Is Up To Something Wonderful

    in Business

It is the last Saturday before Christmas 2014 and people are scurrying about in the malls trying to find just the perfect gift.  Well, God gave us the Perfect Gift, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.   Now we have an opportunity to learn and grow into the person He wants us to be as we walk through life.  Life does not always make sense for us just as it did not for the Children of Israel when there was a 400 year period of God's silence even though they were promised a Messiah.

So what is God up to in those periods of silence, suffering or challenge?

He is up to something Wonderful, that's what!  Listen and learn how....

  • I was just thinking...Money! Wealth, Riches and Prosperity.

    in Education

The differences between riches, wealth, and prosperity.

Black Friday came and went I the midst of protests from the injustices perpetuated on black people in general and black men in particular. Protests were held at Malls and department stores and there was an attempt to protest the Thanksgiving Day parade…and believe it or not it worked! The projected profits from black Friday fell 11% and sent the stock markets reeling.  Most of it was black dollars the buying power that has been underestimated in the system [and you know when I say the system it is the system of white supremacy and its economic component] and misunderstood by our community.

“In 2014, $50.9 billion was spent during the 4-day Black Friday weekend, down 11% from last year. While approximately 133 million U.S. consumers shopped during the same period, down 5.2% from last year's 141 million.”

I have to see numbers on paper to understand the power we have as black consumers because we have been told so many times that our black dollars are useless.

But the Nielsen and the National Newspaper Publishers Association writes this:

“Black buying power continues to increase. It is currently $1 trillion, but is forecast to increase up to $1.3 trillion by 2017. Population growth and increased educational attainment are key factors in the uptick in Black consumer power according to the “Resilient, Receptive and Relevant African-American Consumer 2013 Report.”

Lasana K. Mack, founder and executive director of APPEAL, Inc., based in Washington, D.C.

“We should begin to spend a substantial portion of those dollars with Black-owned businesses; we should be depositing substantial amounts of those dollars in Black-owned banks.”

    Hanukkah ... in the Gospels?!

    in Spirituality

    Live Internet Talk-Radio at www.scripturesdramatized.com
    Thursday Dec. 4th, 9:30 EST
Our topic: "Hanukkah ... in the Gospels?"

So what's your verdict? Is it just a happy accident that Christmas is always on December 25th, and Hanukkah is always on the 25th day of the Jewish month Kislev? Or why is it that the only biblical mention of Hanukkah, a Jewish holiday, is in the Christian Bible: Gospel of John 10:22? Or why is it that that most popular Christmas carol "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!" was written by a Jewish believer in Jesus, Felix Mendelssohn, grandson of the famous Rabbi Moses Mendelssohn. Why did Felix become Christian? Cultural pressure? Economic advantage? Or was it something else? Tonight, let's talk about it. Your host, Rev. Rick Anderson on "Jewish Roots" each Thursday 9:30 pm, EST, live internet radio. To call with a question or comment: 347-324-5759.

    Stovetop Politics with Virginia Kruta

    in Politics Conservative

In a heartwrenching story from this past weekend, a Bosnian immigrant and newlywed was attacked and killed by teenagers wielding hammers. I spoke to his devastated brother this morning and will have more of that story.

Since the Grand Jury's decision last week to not indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, St Louis may not have kept it classy, but they certainly kept it interesting. Schools were closed, malls were shut down on Black Friday and into the weekend, and over 20 businesses were burned to the ground. We will talk about the events, the failures of Governor Jay Nixon, and what the hell happened with the National Guard.

We may even take a moment to sneer at the St Louis Rams.

If all goes well, I hope to add a couple of surprise guests as the show goes on, so be sure to tune in!

And join the show in chat or by calling 646-716-7039.
