    Guest:John Smart/Film Clearance/2 Guns/Looper/Don Jon

    in Movies

John Smart began working on feature film in the Art department while still in college at the University of New Mexico where he received a BFA in theater. After a number of years working on such films as The Big Easy, Heathers, and Barfly - he decided to teach in Los Angeles and at school for teens who’d gotten in trouble with drugs. He became known for bringing film industry professionals to the school as guest speakers and mentors. Establishing a relationship between the school and the local film and TV industry that lasted long after he was gone. When John returned to working on films he dove into legal clearances. He’s worked on a long list of projects including: The Good Lie, Don Jon, 2 Guns, Shopgirl, The Hot Flashes, Linsanity, Looper, Bullet To The Head and approximately 60 other films, TV shows and DVD games. He loves clearances because he can both assist in legally getting a production difficult items they may want or need for a project - but more importantly a Clearance administrator is one of the last firewalls a production has avoid legal action - and a copyright infringement claim can be lethal for a film. You can email your questions to 123filmeasy@gmail.Follow us on Twitter @123Film

FULL SPECTRUM RADIO WITH LEE TAYLER!!!

    in Music

Join Dennis and I as we talk to a GREAT singer and songwriter along with MANY other talents also owning his own record label O Town Music Group!!!

Blending elements of neo- soul, old-time blues and folk, Lee has the guts of Ray LaMontagne and the soul of Marvin Gaye.

This guitar slinging aficionado has the street smarts of an urban swinger and the heart-bending soul of a gospel preacher, and is adept at blending a dark, bluesy Americana vibe with warm, acoustic soul where bits of old folk music and flamenco tunes swirl in and out of earshot.

Lee was born in Nashville and grew up in Florida where he captivated fans with his solo performances utilizing a looper and effects on his acoustic guitar. His High energy performances gained him notability.

Lee then formed a band in 2012 adding a horn and rhythm section to give his music more depth.

Lee self released his album ‘A Fiction,’ in the Summer of 2013. Being driven by Lee through his confessional lyrics, grandiose production values and virtuosic musical interplay, it lead Lee to go on to sign a record deal later that year. Lee is currently in the studio working on his debut studio album among several other side projects.

“Lee Tayler is producing material that is unlike any other singer songwriters – and consequently is beyond genre definition. Largely, it is one man and his faithful guitar – but with a voice like his, there really is no need for any other instrumentation. In truth it would only get in the way.”

    Guest: Nathan Johnson/ Composer/ Looper

    in Movies

As a composer, producer, art director, and songwriter, Nathan Johnson's innovative film scores and hybrid media performances have consistently blurred the lines between stage, screen, music, and narrative. Best known for his unconventional work in film and music, Nathan favors modified, organic instrumentation combined with unique approaches to recording and performing After developing this "junkyard orchestra", Nathan went on to produce and compose the scores for The Brothers Bloom, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Morgan M. Morgansen series, and the forthcoming Melanie Laurent feature Et Soudain, Tout Le Monde Me Manque, among others. Looper is perhaps his most unique score to date, featuring a host of indecipherable instruments along with intertwining rhythms and textures. In preparation for the project, Nathan began gathering a wide range of field recordings and then he and his team created a sort of playable, hybrid found-sound orchestra using those original recordings. Nathan continues to compose and produce while fronting The Cinematic Underground, a sprawling artistic collective known for mixing visual art with performance and found-sounds. He is part of the atmospheric pop band Faux Fix, and has produced a variety of independent artists while acting as a concert developer and live show consultant for a number of bands. When he is not creating music, he works as an art director with The Made Shop, a boutique design firm that specializes in graphic and architectural projects. You can email your questions to 123filmeasy@gmail.com Link: www.123FilmEasy.com.
