Right out of the gate, with his freshman release in 2000, Special Ed and The Musically
Challenged, Ed Roman defined his paradigm with inventive, infectious tunes that shook one's marrow and stirred the spirit…This guy is unique! Three follow-up releases with SEMC continued to mesmerize and astonish, with music that both kissed and prodded, seduced and challenged, hypnotized and enlightened...
An accomplished musician, Ed performs 90 percent of the instruments on his album, recording drums, bass, guitars, organ, vocals and even sitar! The sound is rounded out with help from some of the top Canadian session musicians like Dave Patel on drums (Sass Jordan) and Mike Freedman on electric guitars (Tia Brazda.) Sit back, get mellow and listen to this truly skillful musician weave a tapestry of enchantment from an eclectic fabric of musical styles.
One can never get too comfortable however, as Ed will undoubtedly prompt the listener to examine their world and stimulate them to make it better! Ed asks us everyone to glimpse the world from his vantage point, offering up his vision and sometimes helping to point out the areas that need tidying. Like the janitor of conscience, he'll frequently show the cobwebs and sweep the dirt from the corners of one’s perspective. The listener is left uplifted, invigorated and enriched by dewy new jewels of insight and permeated by a mosaic of musical mayhem. Funky, ethereal, grungy, luscious, rowdy, serene, provocative, clever, insightful and uniquely exhilarating, Ed Roman's marvelous musings drop dollops of tasteful delight through our ears to our hearts. You can't help but dance. You can't help but smile.
Join us with global evangelist and internationally recognized speaker, Dr. Robert E. Mawire, as we discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict but importantly, -- the Promise, the Covenant to His people! God made a Land Covenant with Israel after the Mosaic Covenant and after Israel had wandered in the wilderness for forty years as a reminder of their special covenant relationship with Him. If God makes a covenant, will He break it? If He made this special covenant, does it still stand? Dr. Mawire will help us with these questions as well as our question of the day…. If promise still stands, are we (our hearts, our politics, our nation, our voices, or our idleness) on the Wrong Side of Covenant?
Dr. Robert Mawire has devoted his life to global evangelism and encouraging, motivating, equipping and igniting a fire and passion for more of God to countless people wherever he goes. He is a man of vision, purpose, strength and character; internationally recognized speaker...http://cueleadership.com/

Frank Overton - owner of Boulder's FasCat Coaching joins us this evening to discuss the 7/27 Rapha Gentleman's Race in Boulder CO. What is a Gentleman's Race? From Wikipedia:
A Gentlemen's Race is a type of unsanctioned, unmarshalled road ride established in the Pacific Northwest, USA in 2008. Inspired by the sort of riding of the Rapha Continental project, with a notion of classic bicycle races, a penchant for gravel and an appreciation of the small communities, people and places in outlying areas, the Gentlemen's Race was meant to push the boundaries typical of bicycle racing.
Taking cues from the famous running relay race Hood-to-Coast, where teams of 12 runners work together to race 187-miles from Mt. Hood to the Pacific Ocean, the Gentlemen's Race was first run around the northern base of Mt. Hood back to Portland with two checkpoints along the way to ensure fair play and safety.
Using a proprietary ranking and handicap system, teams of six riders depart with those estimated to be slowest first and the fastest departing last. Part team time triall, part Alleycat Races, part Cannonball Run, the teams must work and stay together the entire race. That factor above anything else is a great leveler for the race.
FasCat Coaching is a cycling coaching company helping cyclists improve their performance. Founded in 2002 by Frank Overton, FasCat is based on ten successful years of racing and training, sport science and frequent communication between the coach and the athlete. FasCat has a new Performance Cycling Center located in North Boulder at 4550 North Broadway Street.
Islam. Join us on the next episode of MOORISH SCIENCE RADIO where the All Mighty Supreme Team will discuss the very social, psychological, political, and spiritual effects of those who believe that they are black people today; and why our nation or race of people are lagging behind the rest of the world intellectually and economically.
We will attempt to trace back the very origins of the first usage of this term as a descriptive of our people.
We will show how the Joshuaites (so called Jews) began to call our people "black" based on their Mosaic nomenclature and how this is constructed in the Torah; and we will also show how Christianity picked up these descriptions for our people and also prove that the "black man", according to these texts in its ORIGINAL INTENT was based on their image of the devil.
We will examine the political implications of a people cut-off from any national link to any nation or country or body politic and how this effects us in the moment and why we live in utter squalor in this American society.
We will examine the scientific meanings of why "black according to science means death" and how we are cut off from the great God of the Universe because we uphold this sinful name of being black.
We will be putting forth a challenge to all so called "black" scholars and afrocentrists to prove that we are in fact a black people and ask them to give us DEFINITIVE PROOF that we called ourselves black people prior to our contact with the pale skinned nations of Europe.
WE ARE MOORS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MOORS AND WILL ALWAYS BE MOORS! COME AND HEAR THE TRUTH!
Hybrid Jazz has always strived to show class, dignity and variety with each episode. What you'll hear on 7/22/14 takes all of that to a new level. Helen Sung has been captivating listeners - via recording or live - since she emerged on the New York scene in the late 90's. But I'm getting ahead of myself ;)
Born to Chinese immigrants in Houston, our guest was playing piano at five. Her teacher was strict and permitted Helen to play only Classical music - which she did throughout her education at the respected Houston High School of Performing and Visual Arts. Her motivation for college: to teach and to perform when possible. All that changed when she saw Harry Connick, Jr., on stage - in Helen's last year of University of Texas at Austin.
The transition was swift. Obsessed with visualizing Harry's fingers on the piano, Helen got a hold of Everything-That-Is-Jazz: from Jelly Roll Morton to Keith Jarrett. She received dual degrees in Texas, but her eye was on the inaugural program at the Thelonious Monk Institute in Boston. It was mutual love - Helen's unique talent was now under the watchful eye of Artistic Director, Ron Carter. She toured with the Cream of the Jazz Crop - across the water with Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock. It changed her life. And ours who are fans.
That move to New York cemented what many already knew, including Wynton Marsalis, who now has HIS eye on where Helen Sung will land next. Terri Lyne Carrington knows, Helen having been a key component in the award-winning "Mosaic Project" in 2011. The Kennedy Center realizes her power, too - she is a recipient of the Mary Lou Williams Jazz Piano Competition.
Her sixth project, "Anthem For a New Day" is brilliant and brave. We could go ON for days about Helen Sung - but let HER tell her story: on 7/22/14 :)

Daniel Rechnitzer has been starring in a television series, What Doctors Don’t Know, on which he has been working with seriously ill people and sharing with them what they need in order to be restored to health. The people on the show have run the gamut with Western medicine, and have not been cured. Daniel has been using this show to demonstrate what is possible when we work with Whole Brain Intelligence. As Daniel has said: “We all come to this planet--a piece of this enormous mosaic here--to contribute this immaculate genius. As we grow up we get layered upon with self-doubt, these limiting beliefs that hide or have us hold back this genius, this true gift. As we learn to see past this facade of who we thought we were, as we start tapping into who we really are, THAT is fulfillment: to offer up, to contribute our gift to ourselves to our family, and to the world. That is what life is about, absolutely, right now.” Lynette, Daniel Rechnitzer and Full Power Living are teaming up to share who we really are, showing you what is possible, and allowing Lynette to heal. Daniel is author of “The All-Knowing Diary”
SUSAN B. MARTINEZ, Ph.D.,
Did we evolve from apes, or are we all descendants of Adam and Eve? Why is the “missing link” still missing? Is the dumb luck of natural selection valid? Piecing together the protohistory of humanity through anthropology, genetics, paleolinguistics, and indigenous traditions, Susan B. Martinez offers an entirely original alternative to Darwin’s evolution: Modern humanity did not evolve but is a mosaic of mixed ancestry, the result of eons of cross-breeding and retro-breeding among different groups, including Cro-Magnon, Neanderthal, hobbits, giants, and Africa’s “Lucy” and “Zinj.” Martinez shows that there were multiple “Gardens of Eden” and how each continent had its own blend of races prior to the Great Flood, which caused the diaspora that brought a renaissance of culture to every division of the Earth. Martinez explains Homo sapiens’ mental powers (the Great Leap Forward) in cosmological terms--how we are the product of both heaven and earth. She identifies the “Sons of Heaven” and the angel-engendered races, explaining how Homo sapiens acquired the “blood of the gods,” which endowed us with a soul. Providing the ultimate resolution to the Evolution versus Creationism debate, this landmark study of hybrid man justifies his unexpectedly sudden appearance in the fossil record, the curious parallels between oral histories of the world’s people, and why anatomically modern features are found in the earliest paleontological evidence.
SUSAN B. MARTINEZ, Ph.D., earned her doctorate in anthropology at Columbia University, where she also served as a lecturer in ethnolinguistics. She is the book review editor at the Academy of Spiritual and Consciousness Studies and the author of _The Psychic Life of Abraham Lincoln_,She lives in Clayton, Georgia.
