Lion of Vienna Suite - LOVpod Episode 23

    in Soccer

Sir Chris Manning returns as host this week, and he is joined by Dan, Tom and Elliot as they discuss what has been a rather depressing week in the world of Bolton Wanderers.

First port of call was to briefly discuss the Whites slumping out of the Captial One Cup to Burton Albion, although there was much sadder stuff to come. Next up in segment one, the dissection of our embarrassing defeat to Middlesbroughwas talked about in great detail.

In segment two it was the thing you've all been waiting for. Tim Ream is leaving for Fulham, and a certain member of the podcast isn't taking it well. He expressed his deep sadness in a rather beautiful, unexpected way. The rest of the lads spoke a lot of sense with their feelings of the move. Then the players coming in on the Ream money were discussed, as the group detailed their excitement at the potential of Francesco Pisano and Arsenal's Wellington Silva. The past of new trialist, Courtney Meppem-Walter, was debated over and the segment concluded with a discussion on the progress of youngster Jamie Thomas.

Segment three was a brief affair, as the group basically shouted profanaties at Dougie Freedman whilst pretending to preview Saturday's clash with Nottingham Forest.

Last but not least, Guess Who? was played and the Question of the Week was answer by you and them, with some great answers all over.

Enjoy! Don't forget to rate, review and subscribe on iTunes!

This week's LOVPod is hosted by Mr. Chris Manning and features a completely unprovoked attack on Tim Ream by Liam O'Meara.  The USA international is heroically defended by Dan Murphy, even when debutante Rob Latham joins in on the side of the America haters.  You will also hear a look back at the Cardiff City and Norwich City matches from last week, along with a preview of the upcoming match with Charlton Athletic and your answers to our Twitter question of the week.

    in Soccer

It's a momentus day in LOVPod history as, for the first time ever, we have a recurring cast. Whether that's a good or bad thing, well, that's for you to decide.

Daniel Murphy is once again your host and he's joined by Rob Latham and Lee Tennant, as they all manage to ramble on for far too long about Bolton Wanderers.

The lads discussed in great detail the depressing affair that was the Whites' last game of the season, a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City; reflected on the season on a whole, dissecting the bad moments and the good; they debated over which on-loan players should stay in the summer and finally ended with the Twitter question of the week.

It's a good one, so don't miss out!

Lion of Vienna Suite LOVPod 8

    in Soccer

With Lord Manning away basking in the Florida sunshine, Dan takes over hosting responsibilities for the eighth episode of the LOVpod, and you can almost pinpoint the exact moment in which he buckles under the pressure of carrying such a prestigious mantle.  He's joined by two lovely chaps in the shape of Lee Tennant and Rob Latham as they discuss a deluge of topics.

Recording immeditialy after Bolton's embaressing performance against Bournemouth, they get things under way by discussing all the facets of the game: Bolton's no show, the flaws of the 3-5-2, the utter ineptitude of our defending and Bournemouth's chances of Premiear League survivial next season.

Then they move on to talking points such as: Emile Heskey staying at the club next season, Paddy McCarthy's injury, what Neil Lennon needs to do during the summer and how he'll recruit new additions to his squad and the saddening retirement of defender Marc Tierney.

After that, it's all about looking forward for the boys, as they preview our last game of this long and dreary season against Birmingham City and discuss the Twitter question of the week: what are your hopes for next season?

Make sure you don't miss out by listening on Blog Talk Radio or iTunes, and please be nice and leave us a positive review and a 5* rating!
