Support for Assimilating a Big Life Change

    in Spirituality

Today's show is a shamanic healing session to facilitate your transition into a new Life Direction.  We deal with change every day but sometimes, the change is so monumental that you know your life will never be the same again and that's quite a lot to digest.  This session will provide supportive processes to open up the path for you to have a more peace filled transition into the new phase of life you have created or are about to create.

Join in for this 30 minute soul re-alignment process! A transmission of channeled healing technologies which restructure your creative source grid.

Pure Soul Alchemy is a channeled energetic field where transformative operations and procedures are enacted for you while you comfortably relax. Through Gabriella's perception and vocalization of the inner energetic landscape, we are opened in ways which allow for these processes to come into our physical reality and enact change on our behalf. It’s optimal to lay down for the duration of the session but feel free to play it low and go on about your day.

Staci Ellis of Life Stuff for Kids: Emotional & Social Support for Kids

    in Radio

Think it’s easy being a kid these days? Think again: peer pressure, social pressure, finances, bullying, divorce, standardized testing, guns, drugs, school violence, abusive adults, low self-esteem, and more. These are many of the same problems that adults face, but as adults we typically have coping skills. But even though adults have coping skills, many still have difficulty dealing with these situations. So how do we expect kids to effectively handle these situations? More importantly, how and where do kids learn the social and emotional skills they need to cope with the life challenges they will ultimately face? The lucky kids will meet Staci Ellis, a child and adult psychotherapist who specializes in trauma. Years ago, Staci created a mock brochure for her young nephew which provided advice and preparation for life challenges. From that idea, Staci developed Life Stuff for Kids, a forum for kids to express and exchange thoughts on life challenges. Kids need to know they have someone to turn to for help and resources to get them through life’s difficulties. Staci Ellis knows more than most on that subject. She began as a Therapeutic Support Staff with a non-profit, served hundreds of families as a Mobile Therapist and Behavior Specialist for 15 years, then became a Trauma Therapist working with kids and adults. She taught parents and school staff behavior management skills and provided professional training on Trauma and Children to bachelor, masters, and doctoral level attendees, and facilitated a class for separating parents called Children in the Middle. Child Support vs Life Support

    in News

the revolution of the mind continues...

This week, we continue our Relationship Series... And this time we are debating the beast otherwise known as government regulated child support.

Family court has been the bane of the Black family since it came into existence.

Is it really the best option or is it adding to the destruction of the family unit? If the true intentions of this "social program" was common knowledge, would we still flock to it?

Is forcing someone to "pay" for their child teaching them a lesson in "responsibility"... Or does it add to the dysfunction and resentment that is most often taken out on the child?

And once the check is cut, should the person who is paying the support be allowed to dictate how that money is spent?

    Yes. Epic.

Won't be home? No problem. Text "WYMS" to 67000 and get the listen in number sent directly to you phone 5 minutes to showtime.

April 16, 2015 - LIVING A RICHER LIFE ~ Life Changing Talk Radio

THEME: Need Help? Why a Peer Support Group Might Be Your Answer

INTERVIEW GUESTS: Duana Wilkins, Darryl Walker and Cindy Koumoutzis

Duana Wilkins is the Co-founder and National Executive Director of Change Addiction Now & President of Washington State C.A.N.

Darryl Walker is the National Assistant Executive Director of C.A.N. and Georgia State Leader.

Cindy Koumoutzis is the Founder, Regional Director and Ohio State Director

    THIS WEEK’S MESSAGE:

Peer support for people with similar life experiences has proven to be tremendously important towards helping many move through difficult situations. These similar life experiences may include people who have lost children, people with alcohol and substance abuse problems, and etc.  In general, the value of peer support has been substantiated by the fact that people who have like experiences can better relate and can consequently offer more authentic empathy and validation. A Peer Support Group is a voluntary gathering of people with similar challenges to share experiences, reveal coping strategies and offer understanding. Tonight we will take a closer look at the peer support group concept through the eyes a newly formed organization whose mission is to embrace, educate and empower families and communities impacted by substance use disorder. Can a Peer Support Group be what you have been looking for?
