How My Mom's Death Saved My Life!

    in Lifestyle

It would appear that EVERYBODY and their dog has become a Life Coach. So I was shocked, bewildered and befuddled when I heard life call me out into this profession. I thought the purpose for my life was to have a great job, a good relationship and try to make a million dollars before I died. It wasn't until my mom transitioned physically that I was left with a heavy spiritual assignment and when I called out to GOD and asked, "What do I do with all of THIS (THIS=life experiences, pain, insights, lessons learned, mourning, etc.) What I heard and felt on the right side of my body was "Life Coach."

On my inaugural show instead of trying to tell you how to live your best purposed driven life. I am going to open up my heart and read from it the journal entries and the very blueprint that rescued me from a life of redundancy to a life of abundance. I didn't accept who I was until January 6th, 2012, the day my mom flew into her new home but she always said "You have always been who you are." I digested that message spiritually, emotionally and intellectually. Once I tell my story it is my hope that you too will accept that you have always been who you are; enough, gifted, purposed, made in the image of greatness...a majestic soul, dancing in your human body.

Join me on this journey. Love ya' much!

    in Spirituality

Join Rev. Hope Gorman with her special guest Stephen Garrett from Just Alive Consulting Inc. Our topic this evening will be “End-of Life and Death Doulas”

One of the questions most asked about with this topic is what is a death doula?  A death doula is someone who undergoes special training to assist the dying and their family members during the end of life time.  Stephen’s passion for life and death is obvious in his writing, speaking and teaching.  His care for each and every person that crosses his path is supported by over two decades of firsthand experience in the field of social work, adult education, coaching, facilitating and mentoring.  He has authored and published three books, the first one is called “Men Read This” and “Monks without a Church” and his newest book is called “When Death Speaks”.   Please pass this on to others by letting them know about our show on Tuesday, October 27th at 7:00 pm.

ARE YOUR WORDS CANCELING EACH OTHER OUT? Let me explain Proverbs 18:21 "The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences." So there are consequences to the words you speak, some of us think if we just make positive confessions (speaking life) about ourselves and "We Good" BUT some of us don't understand that when you engage in talking negatively about other people (speaking death), your actually bringing that death, that toxicity, that negativity back on your self, in effect canceling out your positive confessions about your self. Proverbs 26:27 "He who digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone, it will come back on him." <----- You thought you was digging a pit for the person you talking about, but you just set yourself up to fall. Speaking LIFE is a lifestyle it is not a part-time occupation. Folks love to attempt to burn other people's house down by bad mouthing them but expect God to bless their house, it don't work like that. Even when we engage in talking about some of these tragic situations we see in the news we must be careful not to allow that energy to get all up in our own lives. You will be what you "engage, entertain or eat, consume". Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, what are you consuming? If it is nothing but gossip and junk what you think your situation going to look like? How is God going to bless you with the desires you really want when you aura is one of death and toxicity because you can't stop talking about people (speaking death)? In this show we will deal with THE POWER OF THE TONGUE

Dr. Elisa Medhus on My Life After Death: A Memoir from Heaven

    in Spirituality

Is there life after death? Is there proof of the soul?

Elisa Medhus, a physician and mother of five, received the news any mother could receive. Her 20-year-old son, Erik, committed suicide by taking a .45 caliber handgun and shooting himself in the head in their home. Erik was bipolar.

As a woman of science and skeptical about the soul's survival after death, she began to question her beliefs when inexplicable events began to happen shortly after Erik's death. Erik began to communicate with family, friends and blog members.  After devouring various books on quantum physics explaining the science behind spirituality, her beliefs began to shift. She became a believer. Now, she channels Erik through renowned medium Jamie Butler, asking him questions about death, the afterlife and so much more.

As her blog members join her in this journey toward spiritual understanding, Erik continues to offer not only his insight as an insider on the other side, but also adds some comic relief with his mischievous pranks. She shares her journey in her first book, My Son and the Afterlife: Conversations from the Other Side. Now, Erik has authored his own book, My Life After Death: A Memoir from Heaven. (see Orb photographs attached below taken by Dr. Medhus' daughter.)

In addition to her two books about Erik, Dr. Medhus is also the author of three award-winning parenting books, Raising Children Who Think for Themselves, Hearing is Believing, and Raising Everyday Heroes.
