PMP: New Alexandrian Library & Community Support

    in Spirituality

The Pagan-Musings Podcast Channel has been a regular supporter of various community projects and fund raisers over the years. From music projects to books, from helping Pagan websites pay for their hosting to raising money to help a Pagan in need. Many of these fund raising projects have been great successes. In this episode KaliSara and RevKess will visit with Ivo Dominguez Jr about the success of the New Alexandrian Library Project and its on-going funding needs.

The New Alexandrian Library is a project to create a home for Neo-Pagan (etc) artiacts, books, pieces of art and more. A place to preserve these items ffor posterity. NAL is continuing to raise funds to build more onto the library. From the IndieGoGo page for their current funding project:

We already have several important collections of books in storage including the entire library from the Theosophical Society of Washington, DC. Judy Harrow, of blessed memory, just left us her library as well.

We have started collecting newsletters, event program books, old recordings, and more that is a history that will soon be lost if not preserved.

We already have important art and artifacts including paintings of the Four Archangels by Dion Fortune.

This library will be open to all and will engage in inter-library loan with similar projects elsewhere. Some rare special collections will not circulate.

NAL is just one of many worthy community support projects that currently in action or are on-going. As time allows, RevKess and KaliSara will discuss some of the others.

Mark Bray for Congress - Initial Webcast - Your Q&A

    in Politics

Represent means to stand in the place of or to act or speak for someone else. That someone else is you. Notice that the meaning of representation has less to do with the Representative and everything to do with those whom he represents. His title is Honorable Congressman.  The question that we are all asking is, “Has the 5th District of North Alabama been honored by the words and actions of our current representation?” The answer to this question can be found in my motivation to run against the incumbent and in your enthusiasm and support for this campaign.

There are many, many of you who want and need to be heard.  Your voice is so important and it has been missing for too long. This program is the opportunity for you, me and our fellow citizens of the 5th District to discuss ideas, concerns and possible solutions.

Honest dialog, rooted in the desire to solve problems, is the way to move forward and ignite hope in our country again. Differing views need not make for adversaries.  We need to carry our compassion for our loved ones into the political sphere and treat our fellow constituents with the same grace. Blog Talk Radio is a good first step in that direction.  It is time for action.  This is your election and you deserve to have your voice heard even if it differs from mine.

Please join in the discussion on via phone 347-857-1067 or email questions@brayforcongress.com.  I look forward to hearing from you,

    The Lame Duck Congress

    in Politics Progressive

A lame duck Congress went back to work today, which makes us wonder: Can it be any lamer than it's been the last four years? MOMocrats Cynematic, Karoli and Donna Schwartz Mills are not encouraged by reports that Harry Reid will not pursue confirmation of Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch, leaving it to the next session when Mitch McConnell will be the leader. Judging from McConnell's record since vowing to just say no to everything the President proposes, we don't think this will go well. Political discussion from the progressive point of view by the MOMocrats. Produced by Engender Media Group.
