Letting Go As A Spiritual Practice

    in Spirituality

We’ve all heard of it—You’ve gotta let it go! But how does this work out practically? Most of us who have tried found out that releasing things comes with a great deal of intended effort and patience with ourselves. Tune in this week as Lisa Jones and I discuss the practice of letting go.  We often start with fixed ideas about the way things are or how people are supposed to be, but it's not easy. We’ve all taken some cherished idea of our own and tried to change it; we find that the resistance is very strong. The mind likes the security that comes with long-held ideas. This show reminds us that a spiritual life requires us to constantly examine and revise our ideas. More importantly, spiritual growth cannot happen without

The Art of Letting Go Show

    in Spirituality

Do you have trouble letting go of relationships, whether long-term family relationships, romantic relationships, relationships with food, and more? Then this is the show for you. I, too, have trouble letting go of people, experiences and relationships, because we as human beings enjoy certain experiences and we tend to get attached to them, but it is also important to remember to let go of all things, people and experiences for two reasons: 1) they are not ours to keep and we will understand this after this current lifetime’s incarnation AND 2) when we let go of all of these experiences, we can meet new people and have new experiences that can alter our reality for the better. Therefore, this show—like ‘The Art of Presence Show’—reminds you that Earthly life is just a lifetime of experiences—good or bad, depending on how you see them. Enjoy each person and experience to the max. and then let go and realize that there is another journey ahead—one where you can learn more about yourself as a human being and more about life. Womens Wisdom Circle-Letting Go

    in Spirituality

Women’s Wisdom Circle is a soul sanctuary that invites women to be who they are without needing to change or fix themselves or anyone else in the circle. We gather for deep listening, creative reflection and authentic soul-sharing. We begin by exploring a wisdom quote and go where the Spirit leads.  The Circle is a place to honor our flowering alongside our brokenness and our gathering feels new and ancient at the same time.  The Wisdom of the Circle is the Circle itself.  In the circle we are all equal.

Letting Go Of Stress and Worry

    in The Bible

We all are waiting on God to do something. That is, if you asked Him to help you get through something. Some of us worry ourselves into stress and begin to anticipate the worst. Then we use prayer as a last resort. That'a a shame. Especially, when the bible keeps reminding us that He cares about everything we go through. You may have been in the church for years, but you haven't learned to trust the Only One who really loves you. He created you to be loved. The reason so much evil is happening in our world, is not because of God. But because we live in a broken world that became broken by His arch enemy, Satan. To make a long story short, God created everyone with a free will. Otherwise we would be robots. Satan used his free will to lie cheat, steal, kill, rob and every other kind of evil. He chose to do his own thing and convinced our first parents (Adam & Eve) to follow his pattern.  God wants us to be full of His love through a mysterious plan He had in place. This mysterious plan is no longer a mystery. The plan, the mystery, is for all of us to one day, become exactly like Jesus (Colossians 1:27). But until then, He wants to solve our issues and worries. He also wants to use us to serve others and bring everyone (speaking publically about Jesus) to  Christ.

God is real. He has already solved your problem. He is looking over your shoulder right now as you read this.Your answer just hasn't showed up yet. The real issue for us is trusting God to answer even when we don't see anything happening. We don't see blood going through our body but we believe it is there.. The answer to your prayer, if it does not violate His will, is always answered. So lets get real. What do you choose? Faith or worry? If you are going to worry, why pray? Time to move on to possessing a greater faith.
