An innate intuitive, Maggi Trudeau, was born with the life path of "the Initiate" as was known in the ancient Egyptian Mystery Schools. Always seeking "Truth", Maggi has experienced first hand Parallel Universes and Alternate Timelines. Although schooled in Philosophy with a minor in Psychology (she dropped the Psych. when she realized it held no "truth" for her.) She later graduated nursing school and worked in Post-Partum, Newborn Nursery and Geriatrics, where she was Charge Nurse. After witnessing the overt intrusion of the pharmaceutical industry, she retired and pursued her life-long interest in metaphysics and natural healing. Along this path she has made some amazingly powerful discoveries which we can all use for our own self-empowerment. Today Maggi, shares with us the basics of "How to Fuel Your Self Empowerment," using simple but ancient methods and oh- so very powerful as to which she can attest.

Most teachers, from elementary to college levels, are able to identify when students have difficulty learning, within the first weeks of a semester. However, employers and co-workers are not able or qualified to identify employees with Learning Disabilities unless the person is willing to ask for an accommodation. This Student2Teacher™ Radio Show will clarify how support, referrals, and accommodations can be provided more effectively. Our Special Guest, Dr. Beverly Poellnitz, Educator, Entrepreneur, along with other guests will enlighten us on how cultural considerations must be given when discussing any issue of learning, mental health, and performance. Host, Dr. Danita Applewhite shares current trends for employers, as well as teachers, that will help with ways to provide accommodations and stay legal with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Hear VET2VET conversations about how Student Veterans address asking for accommodations from Disabled Student Resources and Employee Assistance Programs. . Would you please send your donation of at least $10 or more to continue our radio broadcasts, and help our students and Veterans with disabilities reach their education and workforce goals? Visit http://whiteappleinstitute.org and click on DONATE. Click on Radio to listen to episodes of the Student2Teacher ™ radio show any day of the week.

Jennifer Biang is a Parent Support Specialist for Learning Ally. She lives in California and is the founding member of Decoding Dyslexia CA. She is also on the board of her local IDA and is married and has two children. When she found out her daughter was dyslexic, she was surprised that there were no services available to teach her how to read. Back in the early 70’s Jennifer was taught to read with a special program, it worked so well that she never realized she had a problem. It was hard to believe that these services were not available for her daughter. Once she learned more about neurodiversity she realized over half of the people in her family had alternative wiring. The biggest surprise was, she too is dyslexic.
Deborah Lynam is currently the Director of Parent Community Engagement at Learning Ally. She is a newly appointed member of NJ DOE's State Special Education Advisory Council. She is an active participant in the growing network of statewide parent-led grassroots movements called Decoding Dyslexia. She is a former Family Resource and Parent Group Specialist for NJ's Parent Training and Information Center, SPAN; as well as, a volunteer tutor for The Reading Assist Institute. Two of her three children are dyslexic and receiving services through their local public school district.

Over the last 30 years, the average cost to higher education has doubled. Students today are paying on average $20K per year for higher education. Over the course of four years, the cost and/or investment in higher education equals $80K per student. Institutions of higher learning are earning $400 billion dollars per year in revenue off 20 million college students. What are students getting for $20K/year from these institutions besides student loan debt? Why are education institutions not held accountable for producing and creating jobs for their students? Students are the primary investors and the major stakeholder's in higher education, however what are the students getting in exchange for these colleges and universities. The primary reason for seeking higher education for most students is economic. What happens when a student pays $80K for an economic opportunity that never materializes? Should the institutions of higher learning be held accountable for jobs since this is the primary reason for higher learning? Join Us!
