Most of us ministers have some sort of aspiration about fufilling the role of a leadership. Some ministers are unaware whether there are the right person for leadership. We will discover some tips from other leaders how do we know for sure that we have been called into leadership.
There are some DO's and Don't regarding leadership that some have not been taught in the church setting.
Get you pen, pencil and note pad ready to take notes. This leadership setting is going to help you understand your calling as well as tips on how to maintain your character as Leader today.
Leadership is the ability to rally a group of people together and persuade them to take a stand for a specific purpose or cause. Northhouse (2013) stated that "leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal" (p.6). There are many different types of leadership styles and theories. Leadership is a form of power because it requires people to submit or be swayed to a particular position. It can be used in both healthy and unhealthy ways. We see examples of that with Enron, WorldCom, and the music industry with lascivious messages that are sent to youth. One must define the type of leader they want to be and exhibit the qualities and characteristics of that style. Join us today as we will talk about Servant Leadership.
