The cheap little laptop has been holding its own, especially since I had I installed an SSD in it, but the screen is beginning to die and I don’t know if I’m going to replace it. Besides, it really doesn’t have enough power to run virtual machines well, something I occasionally require for testing and schoolwork.

Virtuell virkelighet har blitt vår virkelighet
Har vi blitt så vant til teknologien som et hjelpemiddel at vi har blitt hjelpeløse på veien? Flere og flere mennesker lever sine liv i en virtuell virkelighet særlig med inntog av mobiltelefoner, Iphones, Ipads, og laptops som kan så å si "alt" for deg for å fungere i hverdagen. Vi har digitale minner, avtaler, kontrakter, penger og i noen tilfeller er disse direkte knyttet til strømmen og bilen din.
Den teknologiske hverdagen gjør oss super effektive tror vi, men har vi mistet noe viktig underveis? Mange vokser opp i dag med ferdigheter som teller for ingenting - når strømmen har gått.
Melken kommer fra butikken, sammen med pizza, og det er mange i dag som aldri har fyrt opp et bål og laget mat på det viset - fra naturen. Vi søker ikke mot det primitive - men spør om vi har blitt fanget av et kunstig slør som lager virkeligheten desto mer kunstig og langt vekk fra det som egentlig teller.
