MELISSA PETTIGNANO - A 9/11 Story of Courage

    in Family

I wasn't certain about Melissa as a guest, but she proved to be quite an inspiring young women. Her book and her music are worth examining. I think her song would be a good start for any music class or elementary music time
I am twenty two years old and an author of a book titled: Suzanne Lantana. It is a children's book for ages of eight to thirteen. It is a book to let every young girl and boy know that they can make it through anything and that the light is always at the end of the tunnel.
This story is based on what she went through on 9-11. Her words. “I lost my aunt on
9-11. She is my mother‘s sister. Her name is Arlene T. Babakitis. I wrote the story in a non-scary way to help children understand they are not alone with dealing with issues and that there is always someone there to help. I also wrote the story, so whether the child was born and
did not know what was going on or learning about it now because they were too young or is still dealing with what feelings they still had or the trauma they could still be facing, I wanted them to see there is so much more to them. They have the strength and the courage to make it through. To follow in faith. I was thirteen when 9-11 occurred and I wanted them to get insight and to have more understanding.
I am also an established Music Artist ( singer/songwriter). I started writing my book when I was seven years old and got signed when I was eighteen years old.”
Melissa is a featured author in The Women's Book Club.
