Eric Merola, director of Second Opinion: Laetrile at Sloan-Kettering, returns to the show to tell the story of how a natural, inexpensive cancer treatment was systematically destroyed by the powers of industry and government, sending patients across the border to receive treatment.

Since time immemorial, progressive thinking scientists, physicians, therapists have been persecuted, sued, had their labs destroyed and research papers stolen. Scores of other visionaries were ridiculed for challenging the status quo of day, including such legends as Roentgen for his X-rays, Morton on the ‘absurd’ idea of anaesthesia, Semmelweiss endeavoured to convince surgeons of the need to sterilize their instruments. Pasteur was ridiculed for his theory that germs could cause disease. Nikola Tesla, (EER), But The Cancer wars continue, big pharma refuses to test any natural product as it cannot be patented, thus not earning it any revenue, other pioneers of medicine like Dr Burzynski continue to be persecuted not sharing the spoils and other people such as Jim Humble and MMS will be ridiculed if not slandered for his product. But there are therapy’s available that although challenged have not yet been forbidden, loopholes in the law provide for this. Hemp oil, Vitamin C therapy, Gerson, therapy, HBOT and ozone, Essaic tea and Laetrile or Vitamin B17 have all had remarkable cure rates though have not been accepted by the medical community.

My name is Kellee Mulhern. I have had cancer twice in three years. The first time was in 2009. I had breast cancer. The second was just this past March. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastasized breast cancer in my chest lymph node and liver. I received a drug called Avastin (that is no longer FDA approved). I believe the reason might be that it has been found to actually work against cancer. Chemo only has a 2% effective rate. Cancer is only a nutrient deficiency and a high toxicity in the body. It is due to malnutrition and dehydration. I learned that tumors are a build-up of toxins, and in order to survive, I had to detox! I purchased organic apricot kernels through Nuts.com and I eat 20 or so a day. These seeds come from Pakistan because the U.S gov’t has prohibited these trees in America. They actually kill cancerous cells when ingested. Apricot kernels are otherwise known as laetrile or B17. I do eat wild salmon, organic eggs, whey protein, some tuna, sprouted multi-grain bread, raw almonds, apricot kernels and plenty of avocados, raw vegetables and fruits. I take major supplements and enzymes these include: Echinacea, garlic, ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper, zinc, selenium, glutathione, resverstrol, Co Q 10, turkey tail mushroom extract, D3 and tons of vitamin A, C and E. The number one supplement I take is Cell Food which turns all your free radicals into a perfect oxygen cell. Cancer is caused by trans fats, refined sugar, syrup, and sodas, MSG, aspartame, sodium nitrate (found in lunch meats) soy ( GMO-genetically modified) asbestos, ingesting fluoride and chlorine from our tap water, mercury, mycotoxins, plastic pollutants, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and benzene The book that helped save my life was “Cancer, Think Outside the Box by Ty Bollinger”. Vitamin B17, also known as laetrile and amygdalin, is another controversial "vitamin," as its source, the apricot kernel, becomes a focus of increasing interest. Laetrile is a nitriloside compound composed of four molecules: two sugar, one benzaldehyde, and one cyanide. It is likely the cyanide that accounts for the controversy over this substance, particularly in regard to cancer therapy. Using laetrile-amygdalin, vitamin B17, nitriloside, whatever we call it-as a treatment for cancer is now illegal in the United States. Some people seeking such treatment go to Mexico or other laetrile-supportive countries. Arguments against laetrile as a therapy cite concerns about possible cyanide toxicity as well as studies that show it is not effective as a cancer treatment. Studies, however, cannot be completely objective, especially on a subject as complex as cancer, which is influenced by so many factors. The proponents of laetrile claim that cyanide is a natural molecule found in food and is not toxic in normal doses; laetrile treatment itself is not known to have any side effects in usual dosages. But, obviously, considering Western medicine's use of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, side effects are not the main concern when treating a life-threatening disease. The proof in any treatment is, ultimately, whether it works. Amygdalin is not digested in the stomach by hydrochloric acid, but passes into the small intestine where it is acted on by enzymes that split it into various compounds, which are then absorbed.
Scripture for the teaching: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. ~Isaiah 41:10
