    5. International Christian Concern's Regional Manager for Africa, Cameron Thomas, accused Ethiopia of violating the rights of devoted Christians, saying, "Corrupt officials willing to defend their religion [Islam] rather than the laws they've sworn to uphold, are violating Christians' rights by forcibly closing, destroying and demolishing churches across Ethiopia."

    ISIS Fighters Drawn 2 Movement 4 Reasons Having LITTLE To Do W/EXTREMIST ISLAM!

    in Politics Progressive

    From 10/21/15 Edition Of "The Nation" Magazine -- By Lydia Wilson --

    What I Discovered From Interviewing Imprisoned ISIS Fighters - They’re drawn to the movement for reasons that have little to do with belief in extremist Islam.

    ========================================================================
    No sooner am I settled in an interviewing room in the police station of Kirkuk, Iraq, than the first prisoner I am there to see is brought in, flanked by two policemen and in handcuffs. I awkwardly rise, unsure of the etiquette involved in interviewing an ISIS fighter who is facing the death penalty. He is small, much smaller than I, on first appearances just a boy in trouble with the police, his eyes fixed on the floor, his face a mask. We all sit on armchairs lined up against facing walls, in a room cloudy with cigarette smoke and lit by fluorescent strip lighting, a room so small that my knees almost touch the prisoner’s—but he still doesn’t look up. I have interviewed plenty of soldiers on the other side of this fight, mostly from the Kurdish forces (known as pesh merga) but also fighters in the Iraqi army (known as the Iraqi Security Forces or ISF), both Arab and Kurdish. ISIS fighters, of course, are far more elusive, unless you are traveling to the Islamic State itself, but I prefer to keep my head on my shoulders.

    At the end of the interview w/the first prisoner we ask, “Do you have any questions for us?” For the first time since he came into the room he smiles-in surprise-& finally tells us what really motivated him, w/o any prompting. He knows there's an American in the room, and can perhaps guess, from his demeanor and his questions, that this American is ex-military, and directs his “question,” in the form of an enraged statement, straight at him. “The Americans came,” he said. “They took away Saddam, but they also took away our security.

    Irate, Tireless Minority - Guest Charles Lingerfelt

    in Politics Conservative

    Doing my best to help the Lord set the brushfires of freedom in the hearts of men and to restore America, God willing, to the beacon of freedom she was meant to be.

    Today's show might well be named "Whatever Happened to the Kurds?" Because once this administration dropped supplies for those Yazidis trapped on the mountain top, the MSM moved on. Who actually rescued them? Peshmerga.

    I hope you will all welcome a man who has just returned from Kurdistan, an Iraqi governorate, with news of what the Kurds need to fight daesh(ISIS). (Why are we giving weapons to al-queada - our avowed enemies and those responsible for the 9/11 attacks on our own nation when we could and should be arming these folks instead?) Charles Lingerfelt has been visiting Kurdistan for ten years for his work wth KAS (Kurdish American School).
    In his visits there he has made many friends including a general in Peshmerga. During this last visit he was able to talk to him about what Pesmerga needs from the US to defeat ISIS. Please feel free to call in with questions or post them in the chat room.

    The prophetic passage of Scripture that we are looking at today is Esther 7:3-6.

    Our second coming quote for today is from John Piper: He said, "The center of Christianity is the coming of the Son of God into the world as a real man to destroy the works of the devil and create a new people for His own glory. The very heart of our faith is that He did this by obeying the law of God, dying for the sins of His people, rising victorious over death, ascending to God’s right hand with all His enemies under his feet. The second coming of Christ is the completion of His saving work."
