SORT BY Relevancy
We all have expectations in life, be them of people or of situations. We usually expect a favorable outcome at that. But how many times have those expectations lead to disappointments? Bad judgment calls in character or just not thinking something through because you "expect" for things to go your way.
You may be on the right path, may have it all together but you have only impeded yourself from reaping the fruits of your labor by settling or compromising your better judgment. In avoiding this pitfall, it’s up to you to first identify with them and their lack of significance, and keep it moving. Too often, we will work through something knowing that it’s just not going to be beneficial. In the end, we are left with nothing but residue of a choice we could have avoided by omitting the chaos early on.
There are some “Single” Women that feel despite their status, attributes and qualifications; they are overlooked by Mr. Right for his choice in the Woman that doesn’t have anything to offer him outside of sex and deficiencies. Is this a common practice or an individualistic vice and opinion? Are some women passing judgment on others that may in fact be a better catch for him instead of working on themselves to become more attractive?
TUNE IN for a good one!

SATURDAY WAKE UP CALL ...... Topic: The Greatest Thing Ever Known In the words of Ralph Waldo Trine, a great 19th century American philosopher and mystic: "We must in thought be conscious of who and what we are before the qualities and powers of our real being, and hence our real selves, actualize or even manifest themselves...... ......There is only one thing in all the wide universe that will enable you as well as all the world to do it effectually. “Be ye therefore transfo
When relationships end, the parents should remain respectful and mindful of what they do for the sake of the children. One expectation is having the new partner meet the co-parent when both parties decide to enter new relationships. Sometimes, this exercise of protocol and respect will create a lot of friction between both parents and possibly add more dynamics to their severed relationship. It’s imperative that the co-parent MEETS the new person that will be around their children w
This Wednesday, March 5th at 8PM/EST ……….join us for our discussion “DO WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO ELEVATE ONE ANOTHER?” As a collective, are we responsible for the elevation of others or should we be self-confined to our own individualism? Some of us feel that our only concerns are those directly connected to us and that’s our bottom line and anything outside of that is irrelevant. If we are so engulfed in our own worlds and nothing that transpir
With so much violence, gang activity, negative influences and poor leadership that has affected the youth in so many ways, we are living in at time where the perils surrounding them are in abundance. With very little fanfare, there are individuals right in our communities that are working hard in exerting leadership for our young to be distracted in a positive way. By using sports as a platform, we have two positive Black Men that have created organizations to combat the stigmas and redefine th

I'm tried. I'm frustrated. I'm angry. I'm hopeful. I am an activist. I fight for equality in our public schools. I fight against predatory reformers such as Michelle Rhee, Eli Broad and Wendy Kopp. My trip down the rabbit hole of corporate education reform began about two years ago and I am STILL taken aback by the actions of these folks. Take, for example, the recent attack on our teachers in Kansas by their legislators. It was an attack backed by the Koch Brothers. Not only did those teachers lose tenure but they also lost due process, and for what?? So our corporations could get richer at the expense of our professional teachers and our students. Un-FREAKIN-believable!
In this episode I will be talking with Dr. Deborah Camp from Hoover, Alabama who was recently highlighted on Dr. Diane Ravitch's Blog. You may find her article here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/215385702/i-Just-Want-to-Teach
We will be talking about testing, empowering teachers, activism and what ever else pops up!
Also,Reggie Hill, candidate for the 5th Congressional District here in Alabama, will be checking in with us
I'm also super excited to announce that Mr. Charles Evers will be the keynote speaker at an event I'm planning here in Huntsville, Alabama. If y'all are ANYWHERE in the area on April 26th you need to stop in and listen to this insightful, courageous and OUTRAGEOUS civil rights activist talk about his life and experiences and about the progress, or lack there of, of our public schools when it comes to equality.
I encourage everyone to listen live so you can participate in the conversation through calls and/or chat! ^0^
