Hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar just dropped his 3rd studio album, To Pimp A Butterfly, on March 16. The album was supposed to come out on March 23 but was released early and set the music industry on fire.
For the first time on the 12 Radio Show, the host 12kyle will have a full album review for To Pimp A Butterfly. If you're a fan of Kendrick Lamar or a hip hop fan...you don't want to miss this!!!
The show will only be for an hour and will air March 21st (Saturday) at 2pm est. You can listen online at www.blogtalkradio.com/12kyle or (347)215-7162
On this week’s edition of Scottscope Talk Radio, the roundtable reviews Kendrick Lamar’s third album, ‘To Pimp a Butterfly.’ Is it the album of the year? Has Kendrick set an impossibly high bar that his peers can never hope to reach? Is it a genre bending masterpiece, or is it woefully overrated? Are people judging the album based solely on its own merits? Does the largely positive response to this album signal a new direction for mainstream rap music? Why do people insist on drawing comparisons between K-Dot and Drake?
We’ll also be having yet another of our penchant freestyle sessions! Any and every topic will be up for debate and discussion. Is Damon Dash a misunderstood visionary, or a snake oil selling windbag? Have we truly seen the last of Suge Knight? Will the live-action Attack on Titan films be as good as either the manga or the anime? Are superhero comics hopelessly sexist and misogynistic? How many of the aforementioned topics will we be able to discuss in the space of 120 minutes? Tune in to find out!
This show is a re-broadcast. However, in light of the fact the family has filed a $100 million lawsuit naming some of Kendrick's classmates, some of the school's staff, and members of law enforcement responsible for Kendrick's death, we thought we would re-broadcast this 2 hour interview done with the parents, Kenneth and Jackie Johnson and their attorney Chevene King.

Their guest this evening, former two-time WWE World Tag and TNA X-Division Champion Brian Kendrick!
Kendrick came just short of winning the NWA Western States Heavyweight title at Reflexion--in no small part thanks to outside interference by James J. Dillon--but will now challenge Lucha Underground star Little Cholo (a.k.a. Mr. Cisco) for the Vendetta Pro Heavyweight Championship when Vendetta Pro makes it's debut in Torrance, California on March 7th, 2015 on the Shamrock Slam Tour!
For this episode, we talk a little about Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly," what it means for hip hop in general, what New York thought of it, and why some people need to shut up about how great it might be.
We also have a talk with DC3 of Long Island's Central Station, who has been running a series called the I Am Strong Island Concert Series, highlighting talent from the sixth borough. He'll share his thoughts about the state of Long Island rap, as well as some thoughts about why New York still doesn't get the industry shine.
All that, other interesting things going on and your calls, on this episode of The NY Hip Hop Report.

Kendrick Johnson's Parents Prosecuted for Demanding Due Process of law in Georgia regarding the murder of their teenage son, Kendrick Johnson, in his high school and theft of his ORGANS
The Johnsons should not be so impatient, like the president said. My family has waited for nearly twelve(12) years for answers about Larry Neal's secret arrest and murder in Memphis Shelby County Jail. The president said we must exercise patience about racism. Instead, the Johnsons engaged in civil disobedience and blocked the doors to the courthouse demanding answers. Don't they know their places? I have caught pure-D hell standing for justice in Georgia. Now the Johnsons are receiving their RETRIBUTION for demanding answers about their teenage son, Kendrick.
If the Johnsons are sentenced for one year as threatened, black families in Georgia will know not to bother officials about missing children and mentally ill men like Larry Neal or missing organs, and they certainly will know not to sue white people like the Johnsons and Mary Neal. The mistress said in "12 Years a Slave": "Don't carry on so. You'll forget about those children in no time."
We will discuss the lesson from Georgia v. Johnsons during our Black History Month programs at Human Rights Demand channel at Blogtalkradio, every Wed. at 9pm EST. Google "Secret War on Black America and Victims' Families."
