Selling in a Skirt with Judy Hoberman Radio with her guest Brittany Walters-Bearden & Jasmine Powers:
I have worked with clients from a wide variety of non-profit and for-profit ventures, so I feel that that experience has made it possible for me to be more creative with account planning for current clients. I also work closely with a sales trainer to ensure that my clients have a saleable message and have the proper infrastructure and skills on the back end to make the most of their PR. I recognize that PR is one piece of a very big puzzle, so getting all of those pieces to work together is key. Of course, it involves clients wanting my advice on pieces of their brand or business that isn't strictly in the realm of public relations, which isn't always the case (sometimes people aren't interested in hearing about their broken sales process or improving their prospecting on LinkedIn). It also helps strategic PR to know how to help someone define their niche (again, if it doesn't scare them to tell them their market can't be "everyone"-- people have to want strategic PR for it to work).
I am open to advice and input, whether it is from people who work for me or editors and producers, so I am constantly learning, improving, and adapting. I think not always believing that you know everything is the key to knowing everything (eventually).

I was shocked after watching ThisWeek yesterday. It was a conversation between Ta-nehisi Coates and Shelby Steele. It so affected me that as I wrote the blog of the week I was shaking from an anger that someone’s mind could be so enslaved.
While I have no intentions of talking about this subject today, I felt compelled to bring it up in a broadcast domain to counteract it since George Stephanopoulos did not.

Selling in a Skirt with Judy Hoberman Radio with her guest Dr. Donna Thomas Rodgers & Julie Anne Eason:
Dr. Donna Thomas Rodgers has over 20 years of leadership experience. Dr. Donna has served as a Private-First-Class to a Commissioned Officer in the military. After performing her military duties Dr. Donna worked her way up the ranks to C-level suites. Those experiences have allowed her to strategically solve problems at all levels in an organization. As a Commissioned Military Police Officer she managed millions of dollars of assets and equipment and led over 2,500 soldiers without any casualties. After transitioning to a management role at Frito-Lay Dr. Donna continued to perform at a high level. She personally supervised over 500 employees, managed 20 million dollars in company assets, and trained corporate team members at the national level in safety, continuous improvement and performance-based training.
Julie Anne Eason has been a professional writer for over 20 years. After figuring out that fiction writing wasn’t for her, she turned to freelance journalism and copywriting for a living. As technology advanced, she witnessed the balance of power in the publishing industry shift. Once the big New York publishers held all the cards. Writers were “lucky” if they could land an agent or a book contract. But now individuals are taking the initiative and writing, publishing, and marketing their own books without the need for an agent or publisher to give them a chance — which means that finally businesses, non-profits, and entrepreneurs can take advantage of the amazing power of books. Today she ghostwrites full-length books for entrepreneurs, speakers, coaches, CEOs, and other business people who want to expand their reach and build their brands.

Mind of Mansion Podcast Episode 2.19: Matt Kelley @fantasy_mansion laments NFL draft analysts comparing every prospect to their best case NFL player.
Duke Johnson did not flunk the NFL Scouting Combine.
Tevin Coleman's pro day 40-time could rocket him up fictional big boards. While Coleman would have a good college wide receiver, he will likely be a great NFL running back.
Kevin White's superb 40-time has rendered his small hands, not that hand size matters much for wide receivers anyway.
Dorial Green-Beckham's 3-cone drill was the most impressive time logged at the Combine. DGB is not Calvin Johnson, and that's just fine.
Jaelen Strong's burst should push him up fake big boards.
Amari Cooper is a more agile Sammy Watkins.
Devin Funchess has a 1/32 chance of being as productive as Kelvin Benjamin as a rookie.
No good comparable for Sammie Coates? No problem. Let's just paste Darrius Heyward-Bay's hands on Terrell Owens.
Can Jameis Winston be better than Dan Marino? His ceiling just became Peyton Manning.
