The JRC, as it is known by advocates, has been a thorn in our nation's side for over four decades. Many have referred to the "treatments" at the center as torture, abuse, and discrimination of people with disabilities, specifically autism.

Romans 14:1 states, “Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.”
Paul warned the saints in Rome not to judge or criticize each other’s faith. At that time, since there were both those who were very faithful and those not so faithful in the church in Rome, they came to criticize each other’s faith. If this happens to you, you must respect each other’s faith and do away with any critical stances against God’s servants. It is up to God, not us, to raise and build His servants.
Even within God’s church, many problems arise among the believers. If we take a look at their faith, we can find all sorts of faith. Some had been bound to the Law before their redemption, and thus, they still have the vestige of their old legalistic faith

Child is the Genealogist of the Newbury Street Press at the New England Historic Genealogical Society. Chris graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in history from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey
