Grammy Award Winner, Howard Hewett has been one of the most influential and consistent voices of the past three decades. Whether in a group setting, a guest vocalist or as a solo artist, Hewett's recognizable and virtually irresistible voice has wrapped itself around an array of musical moments; turning good songs into great records and great records into lifetime standards. Howard began his musical roots in Akron, Ohio at the age of 10. In 1976, he relocated to Los Angeles.
Howard later became the lead singer and third member of Shalamar with Jeffrey Daniels and Jody Watley. Shalamar graced the charts with hit after hit; such as, “A Night to Remember,” “For the Lover in You,” “Make that Move” and "Second Time Around."
Hewett departed for a solo career in 1985. He signed with Elektra, debuting his first single "I'm for Real." Hewett also co- wrote and produced his inspirational composition "Say Amen,” which remains one of his signature songs.
Howard also participated in major motion picture soundtracks; such as Foot Loose, The Five Heartbeats and Beverly Hills Cop; which he received a Grammy for “Don’t Get Stopped in Beverly Hills.”
He also cut duets with many legendary female recording artists who are no strangers to topping the charts; Dionne Warwick, Anita Baker, Stacy Latisaw, Roberta Flack, and Tina Marie.
He continues to hone his craft, as he is consistently writing, producing and performing; appearing on projects with the late George Duke, as well as Stanley Clarke, Brian Culbertson, Joe Sample, Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum and many others.
Meet the team behind the wine-country mystery-thriller, The Dark Place (screening at Cinema Diverse). Jody Wheeler (Heat Wave, In the Closet) directed the film of his own screenplay, with J.T. Tepnapa and Carlos Pedraza producing.
The film focuses on Keegan Dark, a troubled young man cursed with the uncanny ability to remember his life in videographic detail. He returns to his family’s wine estate, boyfriend in tow, to make amends with his estranged mother, only to discover a conspiracy that frames him for murder and threatens his family’s lives and livelihood.
Producer/Host Nicholas Snow focuses on "Connecting the Circuitry of Humanity." The presenting sponsor for this episode is Intervention 911, part of Ken Seeley Communities.

Join me tonight at 8:00P.M. (EST) on Fire Talk Radio as Special Guest Regis Andrews ministers and shares his testimony of how God saved him multiple times from what should have been sudden death.
Regis Andrews (pictured here with his beautiful wife Jody) was raised on the family farm in Pittsburgh, PA. Achieving Eagle Scout distinction, as a young boy, Regis honored GOD and loved his Country. A Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Eye & Ear Hospital, and the creator of Tufts University's Maxillofacial Clinic, this Catholic school educated man found himself, as the guest of a friend, in a New Hampshire Protestant Church at the age of 40. When the FIRE of GOD touched Regis in those special meetings, Regis ran to the altar. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and became an instant Evangelist! Called to see that all people may be ready for the soon coming King, the Lord Jesus Christ, Regis teaches a powerful prophetic series on a solid Biblical Eschatological foundation. His question is always are YOU Rapture-Ready!

Thom began playing guitar at a very young age, music helped to deal with a broken home and never seeming to fit anywhere. Trained with a classical and jazz teacher, Thom switched to rock music and Jazz fusion and began performing and recording with various bands. During this time in between studio and touring despite growing popularity as a musician, Thom struggled as a very broken person covering the pain with alcohol, drugs and the accolades of playing music. During the 90's Thom toured all over the country, worked with artist's such as Jody Watley, Piece's of a Dream and doing session, his alcohol abuse at times put him on the streets and several suicide attempts. Seeming to live a double life as he continued to grow as a musician. In 2004, Thom hit bottom, and Jesus got through to him. Thom surrendered his life to Christ, walked away from drugs/alcohol and walked away from music, associating it with all the pain and suffering and began doing homeless, Hospice and poverty outreach as a way to heal and grow in Christ. In 2009, God instructed Thom to resume his music career, Thom was very reluctant but followed God's leading. Working with up and coming vocalist Angelia Robinson and with the band Pillar of Fire Thom was able to start channeling all he's been through, through the music and saw how God could reach people and change lives. Thom spent the next 3 years elevating with Jazz singer Lisa Gilliam, Vocalist's Tanya Blount, Mike Trotter, Iris Lewis and working with all kinds of artists, even HipHop. Thom formed the band The C and T Connection with Cassia The Poet who's testimony was similar and began an to minister with her and their band sharing their stories of hope and transformation. Thom also became Vocalist Tanya Dallas Lewis's guitarist again sharing the hope of Christ.
