Attorney Allison Folmar: Refusing deadly drugs is not medical neglect

    in Family

These shows are conducted in coordination with Citizens Council on Human Rights (CCHR)

Attorney Allison Folmar has been an Attorney for 15 years in the State of Michigan. While in law school Allison received an Award of Excellence in the field of juvenile law.

    Earlier years:

From 1988-1994 Allison was a Corrections Officer for the State of Michigan Department of Corrections and then went on to become a Probations Officer. Allison assisted in restructuring the Federal mandated Interstate Contact Agreement whereby people on probation and parole are handled so as not to fall through the cracks.

On the day Maryanne Godboldo’s story broke. Attorney Allison Folmar was in her car listening to the radio. She heard about the police stand off and her first thought was: “This woman is protecting her child from being drugged and they’re gonna take her baby? “Oh, no they’re not!”

The next day Allison took on the case pro bono.

And so began her 10 month battle on behalf of Maryanne Godboldo and her daughter.

She fought and won two legal battles on the fundamental premise that charging a parent with medical neglect for refusing to give their child a deadly drug is not only a complete oxymoron but a violation of the law.

Voices of the Earth welcomes Allison Holloway

    in Spirituality

I'm so pleased to welcome animal-communicator and advocate, Allison Holloway, to this week's show.  Allison has always had a close connection with animals, but it wasn’t until her beloved cat Emily suffered a chronic illness that she became interested in telepathic communication.  She was introduced to the concept in the early 1990’s at a dog training conference in Chicago, and thus began her study and journey towards a language we share with all species.  Allison has been a dog trainer for over 20 years, and served as an executive director for six years at a rural Ohio humane society.  She teaches obedience, agility, and has a passion for training deaf and blind dogs.  She lives on a farm in central Ohio with many dogs, cats, horses, chickens, parrots, and one very mean goat.

We look forward to having you joining us for an interesting and inspiring hour.

    JIM CROW IN TODAY'S AMERIKKKA

    in Motivation

Notions of race are created to justify slavery because once you point out differences in people, it is easier to start judging and ranking them; positioning some races as more superior than others.  One way this has been demonstrated in America is during the time of Jim Crow Laws. By this time slavery had been abolished but this was a new type of slavery. These laws limited certain freedoms and separated and ranked citizens solely based on race. Some of these limited freedoms included separate eating areas, separate drinking fountains, and separate bathrooms. Jim Crow laws were eventually abolished but this slavery idea still exists today but more through socially constructed laws versus U.S. laws. Examples of this include the war on drugs and the multiple cases of cops treating people unfairly based on the color of their skin.
Several racial bribes representative of Jim Crow Laws that exist in America today include the mass imprisonment of more people of color than white people, the war on drugs, and discrimination. As Alexander points out in her book, The New Jim Crow, mass imprisonment started back during the Civil Rights Movement when people of color would do legal acts, such as protesting, they would be viewed and handled as criminal acts. The rise in crime rates was also linked not to any other social and economic factor but only to the African American unemployment rates and the Civil Rights Movement. This type of thinking was lead by the conservatives to secretly find ways to maintain white supremacy in America. This crime was also what sparked the war on drugs, which increased the surveillance and severity of punishment for possession or the selling of drugs. Drugs and crime in areas of poverty where there was a great African American population and by cracking down on drugs they could arrest and charge more people of color. Lastly, discrimination is still seen today in jobs, income, living situations, care, and education.

The Sandie Sedgbeer Show with Jim Self

    in Spirituality

2015 - The Year of Experiencing Yourself Differently

As we broadcast our very last show on this network, we leave you with a glimpse of what potentially lies ahead for you and for humanity in 2015.

Professional astrologer, Alison Chester-Lambert will be giving us an astrological overview of the year to come, and then international speaker, teacher and author, Jim Self will present his final full length solstice edition of Keeping Pace with the Shift.

For the past four years Jim Self has been pointing to the changes that are happening, what they mean, how they will be affecting us, and what we need to do to move through this transition. Now as we move beyond the “2012 effect” into a new era, there are new templates of being and experiencing ourselves in a new consciousness that are available to us. The problem is most of us just don’t know how to grab hold of this.  In order to perceive ourselves differently, we have to experience ourselves differently.  In this final episode, Jim and Sandie will discuss:

*Endings and beginnings: now that the old phase is completed, what choices await us in the new?
*How to dismantle the old templates that have been keeping you stuck
*Getting out of reactionary, moving into mastery
*Why you can’t express yourself as that 3rd dimensional personality in a 5th dimensional body
*How to use your chakras in ways you’ve never been told
*Why some people are already experiencing their light body and how you can too
    And more…

Jim will also lead a 10-minute meditation that will allow you to experience yourself differently, and provide you with a new tool—the triads.

    in Education

Elephants, Entrepreneurs and Edicators find the extraordinary in the ordinary and help those arouind them achieve excellence.

Everyday on The Teach Jim Show we find ways to work through the challenges and weightier matters of life (elephants) with informal, self-directed learning strategies and engaging exchanges with entrepreneurs and educators.

Today our career path most often leads to the next life cycle of our progress.  The idea we are to have a lifelong career plan is crazy.  Change is expodential so our chance to achieve excepeitonal excellence under such presures is the new reality.  Leveraging our experience and the experience of others we are poised to exceed our ordinary selves and become extraordinary.

Our goal on The Teach Jim Show is to "stop thinking about elephants" and become the exceptional enrepreneurs and educators we were born to be.  It is time to start dreaming aloud because dreaming's allowed !

And whatever you do....don't think about elephants, entrepreneurs or educators!
