50th JFK Assassination Anniversary
JFK 50th Who killed Kennedy? Or, Who HAD Kennedy killed?
If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at our world’s airports, you’ll enjoy today’s book club reading “Tales from the Tarmac”. Author Claudia Oxee is a former runway model turned airline industry aficionado and her new book offers great insight into the crazy world of airport terminals when ground staff and passengers intersect. With humor, warmth, and wit, Oxee shares her most memorable moments in the industry in hopes to entertain – and yes, enlighten! – all travelers, from the novice to the seasoned. Oxee’s book is part ‘tell-all’ and part etiquette guide, but “Tales from the Tarmac” is also all heart and humor. To read more "Tales from the Tarmac" click HERE.
My guest today is a pivotal part of American history... unfortunately America didn't want you to know about it and still doesn't. As we get closer to November 22, which will mark the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Always remember the story of the Real Bodyguard; the first black agent assigned to the White House detail, selected by Kennedy himself, Abraham Bolden.
He is also the author of "The Echo from Dealey Plaza: The true story of the first African American on the White House Secret Service detail and his quest for justice after the assassination of JFK." This is the hottest book I have read in a long time. Order your's Now!
Bolden went head-long into his assignement to protect the life of the President that he so admired, that when he discovered internal behaviors within the Secret Service itself that compromised the safety of the President (a combination of some agents harboring resentment towards what they considered his liberal policies, agents who were no doubt in on the conspiracy, and just some white jerkoffs with police-mentalities and an undeserving sense of entitlement), he reported his findings to his superiors and afterwards he was strategically removed from Kennedy's detail just before the fateful date, and became targeted unjustly.
Find out why by listening to this interview, and help clear his name. Feel free to leave a comment in the section below, especially if you're on Facebook.
Author and playwright Douglas Brode joins Joe to discuss the evidence that shows Lee Harvey Oswald is really innocent and was setup to take the fall on the grassy knoll. Tune in and hear for yourself! Was he really the patsy?
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately? There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective. Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting. But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree! If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!
Chapter 1: Eric Holder Grilled by House Judiciary Committee Hearing AG Eric Holder spent hours answering question by members of Congress during a House Judiciary Committee oversight hearing on the Department of Justice’s subpoena of AP phone records, the IRS targeting of conservative political groups and even the FBI’s failure to stop the Boston Marathon bombing. Holder defended the DoJ’s effort to find the security leak to the AP but declared they they would fully investigate the IRS’s actions. We talk to Susan Ferrechio , Chief Congressional Correspondent, The Washington Examiner. Chapter 2: White House Pushes for Media Shield Law In response to revelations that the Department of Justice subpoenaed phone records from the Associated Press, the White House is now pushing a media shield law. Such legislation would protect journalists’ sources such as the person who leaked information about an anti-terrorism sting operation that led to the AP story. A similar bill was proposed in 2009 but it contained an exemption when national security issues are at stake. We talk to Mary-Rose Papandrea, Professor at Boston College Law where she specializes in both free speech and national security. Chapter 3: Social Media Increasingly Used as Evidence in the Courtroom Early this month, Frank Gatto, a grounds operation supervisor at JFK Int'l Airport sued United Airlines for his injury and proceeded to delete his Facebook account. A judge in that case cited Gatto for failing to preserve evidence leaving it open to discovery by the other side. What should companies, employees and any other individuals who might find themselves in litigation know about what they put out on social media? We ask Christopher C. Chiou, Partner, Jenner & Block in Los Angeles.
Guest Tom Friess Part Two "JFK Exposes the Unseen Hand" The very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society. And we are as a people, inherently and historically opposed to secret societies. To secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweigh the dangers, which are cited to justify it. Even today, there’s little value in opposing the thre
