[Archived show: not "LIVE". Do not call in tonight.] How do you share your faith with people from a different faith? St. Paul did it with the Athenians on Mars Hill 2000 years ago in Acts chapter 17. He communicated the gospel in clear and relevant language. A recent Foug Crew broadcast dealt with ' Christian - ese ", the kind of language that born-again Christians use with one another, but is misunderstood by the very people our Lord seeks to reach through us. '" Ten Tips " gives powerful practical examples of that when witnessing to Jews. Rev. Rick Anderson, raised Jewish and educated in Hebrew parochial schools, will demonstrate the right and wrong way to "contextualize " the gospel to Jewish friends. Our featured guest is Norma Luciano, born to a Jewish mother from Jerusalem and Jewish father from Brooklyn. Norma embraces her Jewish heritage, history, and traditions, and she is a believer in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Norma became a Christian in 1987 and began a new spiritual journey. She attends Beit Tikvah Messianic Congregation in Newcastle, Washington. Norma is an accomplished author of adult and children's books, lives in Seattle, Washington, is married, and a former school security specialist.
Norma will offer a Jewish-Christian perspective on blood moons. Moons turning to blood is referenced in the Bible in Joel 2:31, Acts 2:20, and Rev. 6:12-14. Blood moons are often described as a total lunar eclipse, which occurs when the earth casts its shadow on a full moon and eclipses it. The result is the moon may get a red glow – referred to as a Blood Red Moon.
Total lunar eclipses are rare and normally happen twice a year. There is no particular order for lunar eclipses, but sometimes four total lunar eclipses will happen in a row. This occurrence is called a lunar tetrad. Tetrads are rather rare. The first three total eclipses in this lunar tetrad occurred on April 15, 2014, October 8, 2014, and April 4, 2015. The last eclipse of the tetrad occurred on September 27-28, 2015.
What is the significance of the blood moons? What connection can be made between blood moons and significant Jewish history – The Spanish Inquisition in 1492, The Nation of Israel Reborn in 1948, and the Arab-Israeli’s Six-Day War in 1967? How do blood moons tie in with Israel today?
Norma will explore those questions and offer an interpretation of historical Jewish events and how they relate to blood moons and Biblical prophecy.

COME TOGETHER TO HONOR THE MEMORY OF NAFTALI, GIL-AD AND EYAL.
In the summer of 2014, these three Israeli teens were kidnapped by terrorists on their way home from school. Jews from around the world came together to search, pray and offer support. The sense of unity reached its peak as the three boys were found and buried together.
A year later, the families of the boys are asking the Jewish world to re-experience and strengthen this unity by participating in their first yarzheit. Their call to action has been amplified by Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, Gesher and the Israeli Ministry of Education, along with dignitaries and Jewish institutions around the world.
This anniversary, both poignant and powerful, invites us to honor the teens’ memory by committing one day, “Unity Day,” to bringing back that sense of togetherness and hope.

14Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”e 16These people are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.

Starting with the Pilgrims not only leaves out the Indians, but also the Spanish. In the summer of 1526 five hundred Spaniards and one hundred black slaves founded a town near the mouth of the Pedee River in what is now South Carolina. Disease and disputes with nearby Indians caused many deaths. Finally, in November the slaves rebelled, killed some of their masters, and escaped to the Indians. By now only 150 Spaniards survived, and they evacuated back to Haiti. The ex-slaves remained behind. So the first non-Native settlers in "the country we now know as the United States" were Africans. The Spanish continued their settling in 1565, when they massacred a settlement of French Protestants at St. Augustine, Florida, and replaced it with their own fort. Some Spanish were pilgrims, seeking regions new to them to secure religious liberty: these were Spanish Jews
Beginning with 1620 also omits the Dutch, who were living in what is now Albany by 1614. Indeed, 1620 is not even the date of the first permanent British settlement, for in 1607, the London Company sent settlers to Jamestown, Virginia. No matter. The mythic origin of "the country we now know as the United States"
