Is Pentecost the Day of the Lord Spoken By Joel the Prophet?

    in Religion

Tonight, we will conclude our review of the presentation by Bruce Stutling. He spoke on Joel 2 and claimed that the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord foretold by Joel was in fact Pentecost! In addition, he claimed-- unbelievably - that the Great Day of the Lord foretold by Malachi 3-4 was also the Day of Pentecost! William Bell and I will show how untenable this position is, so be sure to tune in!

These are some of the most revealing weaknesses in the Amillennial views of eschatology. Fortunately, this gives us the and everyone the opportunity to examine it in the open. Truth will stand up anywhere it is presented.

The Porch - The Pentecost Protocol Part 9

    in Spirituality

The Gifts of The Spirit - we pick up where we left off on the ongoing nature of Pentecost and the vibrant presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  Tonight we talk about the gifts the Spirit provides for us to do what we need to do in service to the Kingdom of God while living in a fallen world.

Getting back to basics by examining the Word of God and, especially, the Book of Acts Church, The Porch Online Bible Study is taking a deeper look into how the early church served the Lord.

Our desire is to find and restore the priesthood of the Believer and the world shaking influence the Early Church had. By delving deeper into scripture, we will find the Church the Lord intended and not the one man created.

The Church Age is not over and, therefore, what took place in the Upper Room is as much for now as it was on the Day of Pentecost. If you know that there is more to your spiritual walk with Yeshua/Jesus and you want more then you are welcome to join us on this journey as we get back to basics!

"What Is An Activist?" on "A Muslim and A Catholic Wake Up in 'Merica"

    in Politics

    What is an Activist?
A person who sees an injustice in the world and works hard to fix or right the injustice, but in the 21st century it seems it’s usually a false sense of self-importance.  “Wait, what an injustice in the world…that’s just wrong…I’m going to like that page, or “That one is really heart wrenching and it hurts me…I got to more than just like that one…I’m going to make it my status.” And activism is not just buying apparel to support the cause so that you look cool. Its east to be an activist these days, Right?  All you need is a computer, a mouse and lots of FaceBook friends so that you can broadcast to a large audience every time you like a page or make a nonsense comment.  What if all your clothes were stolen and your FaceBook page were to be deleted?   The hard truth is: Activism isn’t about the T-shirt, sticker, or the bracelet you bought. It’s not even what you talk about on the internet all the time, unless you are actively doing something about it! Being an activist means you “Join The Fight!” Being an activist is; knowing what support really means and your willingness to bear the weight of something…even if it is un-cool. Isa and Common Cal’s first guest is CJ Pearson. 13 years old and he gets it. At 13 years old, CJ Pearson commands a brand, following, and political message that inspires young and old alike. CJ has been featured on Fox News, the Washington Times, USA Today. Joining the conversation in the second hour will be Daniel Johnson from Solutions Institute (Isa’s Bromance) and Brian Engleman discussing the Tennessee, Louisiana, and LA shootings as well as the upcoming Act Con 3. That’s Tuesday night, July 28st at 8:00pm EST/5:00pm PST on “A Muslim & A Catholic Wake Up In ‘Merica.”  Coffee Party USA Radio Network.

  • Conversion of a Catholic Who Would Not Pray (after he heard an audible voice)

Conversion of a Catholic Who Would Not Pray (after he heard an audible voice)

Tony Koss, a fellow sojourner with me in the Medical Lab at Womack Army Hosptial at Ft. Bragg, while I was an Elder's President (3rd Quorum) of the Raleigh Stake of Zion, my first vision occurring just 3yrs earlier and therefore I was intent on missionary work, and tried to get him to pray, and he would not.  Then an audible voice in the hearing of myself, another Sgt E6 and Tony in the "sticking room" where we drew phlebotomies, when I obeye a command to quote a prophecy concerning myself, and audible voice spoke which we three heard. The verse I was commanded to quote was this, a prophecy of the One Mighty and Strong from Isaiah 52:

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
    (Old Testament | Isaiah 52:7)

Tony then moved on to a TMC and I saw him about a week later in the lab, and he said, "Art! I have read the Book of Mormon in three days!"  Whereupon I made arrangements for him to be taught by myself and two Elders.  I baptized him shortly before his separation from the service with honorable disharge.  This was about April, 1974, shortly before I was ordained a Seventy Apostle.
